1/5 After my walk in Leeds yesterday shopping, I thought I would pass on my thoughts as a severely visually impaired person on the do's and don'ts to assist a blind person. Don't get me wrong, the offer of help is heartwarming, but the correct way of doing so makes it so much nicer.

Today I decided to cycle 8km along the shores of Lake Garda, I could smell the jasmine, hear the birds singing, the waves gently lapping the shore, the distant sounds of boats crisscrossing the water. I could feel the warm sun on my face.

The B/W photo was taken by my father at the consecration ceremony of the Polish Monte Cassino Cemetery, I believe on the 1st September 1945. I digitally coloured the photo using Affinity Photo, it took me approximately 20 hours.
