This fellowship has been amazing, I love Prague like a second home, but I just woke up and even that I don’t eat burgers more than twice a year I would kill for In-n-Out or ShakeShack right now. Time to go home.

I used the verb “cloaks” in my research description and now I feel I have to do that always because it fits so well. While in reality I probably ted it somewhere else and stayed in my mind without me realizing it 😄

In 2018 two taxi drivers in the same day - on my way to NOLA and on the way home from SFO, told me horrifying stories on what is to come. I worked with the elite political scientists at the time, and not that they were wrong, but those taxi drivers were dead on. Bizarre and tragic.

“I once had a debate with the science editor of a libertarian publication who enthused about the prospects for life extension. My response was, ‘I am not looking forward to a world in which you will be spouting your same dumb libertarian ideas 100 years from now.’” open.substack.com/pub/persuasi...

Why the fuck Democrats do not speak and act like they are in the campaign already? How expensive is for the leaders to post on social media once a week and explain why, what and how?

Aaaand there it is.

I go on Threads when I need to muffle the reality of the news cycle and oh boy, how many people are fully delusional believing they have telepathic relationships with their kids and stuff. In some way, a certain % of the population is always in Dark Ages.

A Chicago Pope implies the existence of an MLA Pope and APA Pope

Sort of accidentally watching And Just Like That and 1) Did they effectively kill Peloton business? I never sat on mine again after that. 2) No wonder we lost the elections. We are obnoxious. With the heart in the right place, still not a license to be obnoxious.

Is it going to be one of the people arrested for having tattoos and the crowd will cheer watching space execution on live tv?

He sure did!

A woman who racially attacked a Black child is fundraising obscene amount of money from obvious racists around the country. Folks here (starting with this woman coder below) are trying to stop the campaign. www.threads.com/@kiandria/po...

Absolutely read this economist.com/europe/2025/... from The Economist

Thank you Greyhound!

Carney: We are over the shock of the American betrayal, but we should never forget the lessons. We have to look out for ourselves and above all, we have to take care of each other.

More women view climate change as their number one political issue. A new report shows a growing gender gap among people who vote with environmental issues in mind. grist.org/politics/mor... #Women #Girls #Climate #Gender #Solarpunk

If you think a just-fertilized ovary is entitled to life but are indifferent to what happens to a kidnapped 4-year-old with cancer, sent to a dangerous country without meds, you don’t give a fuck about the lives of children. You are just in a cult that fetishizes being against abortions.

Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

I can’t compete with this

“As a little girl growing up in Chippewa Falls,” Judge Susan Crawford said in her victory speech, “I never could have imagined that I’d be taking on the richest man in the world for justice in Wisconsin. And we won.”

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Heed the words of Sergei Rachmaninoff, the unmatched Russian composer who was born today in 1873 and moved to the US. "This is the only place on earth where a human being is respected for what he is and what he does, and it does not matter who he is and where he came from."
