Fold Types, Part 1.

Shape Language studies I did that led to the 'Lady of Ashes' piece. It is essential to have a method for testing the study subject immediately, even in a simple sketch. (Artist studies: Ashley Wood, Jeff Simpson, Phil Hale, Piotr Jabłoński, Mark Demsteader)

Figure Studies of different body types.

'Supplication'

Figure Studies.

Medusa

Stylization of anatomy by proportions in a line-up. Added some basic shape stylization in this one as well. This one is always fun, especially when you decide to go wild with the width and height.

Applying stylized anatomy from a study of an artist. I used Max Grecke as his style has really clear geo forms.

Riddle 5 ❝ I show your face, yet not quite right, Curved or straight, I shift the sight. Turn me once, and you are small, Turn me back, you’re stretched and tall. What am I? ❞

Figure Study.

'Moon Follower'

'Stillborn Immaculith'

'Moirai'

'Divine Sap Extraction Chamber'

'Lady of Ashes'

Stylized anatomy using proportions of the mannequin and basic shapes. Normally I would do that organically, but it's good to have a system, especially when teaching others.

'Herald of Doom'

'Figure Study as Judith'

'First Stage of Enlightenment'

'Cherub'

Hand studies the artist nemesis. Almost there, definitely something I understand better now than ever.

Figure Study as Salome

Riddle 4 'I see all, yet I am blind, A single eye, yet never mind. The secrets pass through me alone, Yet I am nothing when unknown. What am I?'
