Ganesh is an instinctive Conservative so it's predictable that he would say this. But he's wrong about the 'must'. Certainly more defence spending is going to mean less consumption of some things by someone, but it doesn't have to be those who consume what's provided by the welfare state.

I was very, very impressed by the @franstimmermans.groenlinkspvda.nl interview on the “Leading” podcast by @therestpolitics.bsky.social. It shows that we DO have great leaders in #Europe, who know what's the right thing to do, and who posess passion and candidness to oppose the populists.

Started watching “The Diplomat” with Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell on Netflix. It’s a well written, well acted show about American diplomats and politicians which depicts them as smart and interesting, trying to wrestle with international politics, which, unfortunately, makes it utterly unrealistic.

Čestitam Nebojši i cijeloj njegovoj ekipi na cjelokupnom uspjehu filma. Nadam se da su se dobro zabavili u LA-u. Film je već osvojio najveću nagradu koju jedan naš film - Europsku filmsku nagradu - tako da jedan Oscar više ili manje nije toliko bitan.
