In the last year, @lynneguist.bsky.social, I've started hearing "Welcome in!" whenever I enter a shop or a restaurant (Ohio, New Mexico, Arizona, California). Used to be just "Welcome" or "Thanks for coming in." Has this hit the UK?

@lynneguist.bsky.social Just watched a video about tides and heard a Brit say centrifugal as sentry-FUGUE-al instead of cen-TRIF-ugal. It's always fun to discover a new difference, and kind of amazing how long one can be unaware of specific differences.
