I think adventure games are better now than they were in their “golden age” and I’m a huge fan of those games. Check out this thread of recommendations. I would also add Phoenix Springs and the upcoming games Old Skies, Dreamsettler, Heir of the Dog, and Perfect Tides sequel. There’s so many games!

Around five years ago I entered the BASIC 10 liner competition with this take on Jeff Minter's "Gridrunner" :) Was pretty proud of what I achieved considering the limitations. I can't remember when I last entered the competition but I do intend to do so with the current contest. It's good fun!

Maybe because my dad was NSA, but as a kid I assumed everything was a secret code. When I learned the numbers for "Stones" in Ultima V, I spent ages trying to decipher the true meaning. Even tried calling it as a phone number, half expecting @richardgarriott.bsky.social to answer. (He did not!)
