On Wednesday, U.S. egg prices reached a 45-year high (unadjusted for inflation) due to a new version of #H5N1 influenza circulating in poultry. When accounting for inflation, the price is the second highest—falling $0.15 of a record set in January 2023 (also due to bird flu). (1/3)
