Take your masks off ICE, show us how proud you are adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/why-are-fe...

Just when you forget about him, Lindsey Graham reminds you what a loathsome and dishonest politician he is.

Josh Hawley feigned concern about Medicaid after the House vote. He even wrote a NYT op-ed. And now he’s voting for a bill even more draconian than that passed by the House, cutting an astonishing $930 billion from Medicaid over 10 years. Hospitals will close. People will suffer. People will die.

Paxton spoke to the crowd on Jan 6, but has refused to release his communications or say who paid for the trip. He and Abbott refused to share their communications with the NRA after the Uvalde Massacre. Texans deserve leaders who answer to us, not hide behind closed doors. #txlege

Whoa! Alligator Alcatraz is going to be complete by Tuesday and open for operation on Wednesday. Am I the only one wondering how Ron DeSantis got this together so fast? Floridians, make sure you remember this the next time a hurricane hits and you can’t get disaster relief in your state.

Just a reminder of who Thom Tillis is: In 2013, as N.C. House Speaker, he passed a massive voter suppression law that was struck down because it targeted Black voters "with almost surgical precision.” In the Senate he voted against the Freedom to Vote Act and the John R. Lewis Voting Right Act.

Honestly, this should be required for every bill.

Awesome

It needs a few typos, grammatical errors, insults, random quote marks, and misspellings.

We are not getting over it.

Coal pollution has poisoned the Diné and other Tribal communities for decades. Now the Trump administration and their allies in Congress are pushing a bill that expands mining and short-circuits environmental reviews. This must be stopped.

MERKLEY: How do you feel about being responsible for hundreds of thousands of kids dying because of your sudden interruption in these key programs? VOUGHT: I reject the assertion MERKLEY: I find your response both ignorant & callous. Few Americans have had a more devastating & disastrous impact

‘They’ll get over it,’ McConnell reportedly assures GOP colleagues about Medicaid cuts. “You’ll have hospitals closed, services eliminated and 20,000 jobs eliminated" if Senate proposals become law, says Kentucky Hospital Association CEO Nancy Galvagni. kentuckylantern.com/2025/06/24/t...

Emil Bove’s “fuck you” to courts whose orders he’d opt to defy should abruptly end his path through the Circuit Court to the Supreme Court. His nomination is well and truly fucked. End of.

Wake up Democratic Party old guard establishment. This isn’t about New York City. This is the way the wind is blowing. Step aside for young people who this country will need over the next several decades long after you are gone. Enough with your egos and the big money interests.

Budzinski: Families making over $700,000 a year will see a boost of $12,000 almost entirely from tax cuts. Shockingly, households making $23,000 a year or less are set to lose about $1600 a year, mostly due to deep cuts to Medicaid and food assistance

Phang: You do not do the bidding of Donald Trump simply because that’s what he wants. You do not want somebody like Emil Bove as a Third Circuit Court of Appeals judge. You don’t even want him to be—I don’t know—a parking garage or strip mall lawyer, do you? That’s an Alina Habba job.

I wonder if Mitch McConnell assumed Americans who lost their healthcare would "get over it" because they will be dead.

Murray to Vought: This should be a yes or no. What I hear is all kind of word salad to make sure you are letting us know that you intend to do things that are outside the intent of the law.

Boyle: For every American household that makes under $55,000 a year, they will be poorer as a result of this bill. So it's quite clear under this Republican betrayal— the poor get poorer, the rich get richer, and the middle class falling further behind. This is wrong.

Both Senators Blumenthal and Whitehouse make a point of order that deliberative process and attorney client privileges don't apply in judicial nominee hearings. Whitehouse points that Bove is using the privileges selectively, and doesn't even have the right to invoke it.

The Speaker of the House insisting that Congress doesn't and shouldn't have a say in use of military force abroad is a pathetically weak abdication of Constitutional duty. The Founders anticipated the possibility of a tyrant. But they didn't think Congress would eagerly forfeit its own power.

RFK Jr. fired all of the experts at CDC's vaccine advisory committee. He installed 8 unvetted people, including anti-vaxxers who should have ZERO role in deciding which vaccines insurance should cover. The committee's next meeting must be postponed.

The Constitution is not a minor inconvenience to be ignored at whim but the operating system for our government and the binding covenant of the American people.

You know what would encourage people to get more physical activity? No, it is not wearable fitness trackers. It is: 1. A liveable wage so people have time for it 2. Safe parks and other infrastructure for such activity But that’s too hard.

REED: How many Americans weapons are going to Mexico in a year? BONDI: We are arresting people who have illegal firearms in our country REED: No. You're allowing them to be purchased in the United States and driven across the border

The GOP’s Big Ugly Bill deliberately kneecaps clean energy projects that are creating good-paying jobs and lowering energy costs. I won't stand for that. And neither should anyone who claims to care about jobs, economic growth, or energy security.

We already knew that Emil Bove was unfit to serve as a federal judge. Now we see additional confirmation of that fact. How can we trust someone with such contempt of the law to be a fair arbiter of the law?

It’s 100 degrees today in Washington DC but we came together with @seiu.org to say NO cuts to Medicaid.

A federal jury on Monday ordered a man who was charged in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol to pay $500,000 to the family of a D.C. police officer who was assaulted during the riot and later killed himself.

Anytime someone rightly calls out this administration for anti-veteran policies like firing VA staff without cause or changing discrimination policy, Trump's VA Secretary says they're "scaring veterans." So I told him today, if you don't want to "scare" veterans, STOP doing what you're doing.

MUST SEE: Congresswoman Schrier nails conspiracy theorist and unfortunate HHS Secretary, RFK Jr., on the value of vaccines—and it’s glorious. Schrier also happens to be the first pediatrician in Congress.

"But they'll get over it"

For-profit insurance companies like UnitedHealthcare are defrauding taxpayers out of $80 billion a year. HHS Secretary Kennedy claims he wants to "clean up corruption" while he is doubling taxpayer dollars to these companies. That sounds like the real "waste, fraud, and abuse."

Jeff Bezos is worth $230 billion and is reportedly spending $20 million on a three-day wedding in Venice while sailing around on his $500 million yacht. If he can afford to do that, he can afford a wealth tax and to pay Amazon workers a living wage. Hello?

When someone's local hospital closes, they won't "get over it."   When someone's nursing home closes, they won't "get over it."   When someone's kid is kicked off health care, they won't "get over it."   America, let these Republicans know you will NOT "get over" cuts to Medicaid.

Rep. Ruiz: "Did you read the report and fact check its sources?" Kennedy: "I did not fact check." Rep. Ruiz: " Why did the report include citations to sources that don't even exist?" Kennedy: "The foundational assertions were accurate." Rep. Ruiz: "They don't exist!"

SCHRIER: Have you ever treated measles? RFK JR: No SCHRIER: Well I have. Let me tell you how miserable these kids is. The great thing is there's a vaccine to prevent it ... they only work if you actually give them
