So, last night, I started a trad-pubbed histfic about the birth of Rome. So, roughly 800 BCE or so, right? Within the first 20 pages or so, what do I see mentioned? Turkeys. And embalming. 🤦‍♀️ Honestly, I just don't even want to finish. Why can't so many authors be bothered to get details right?
