It blows my mind that Image's "1963" comics are now older than the comics they were lampooning at the time. In 1993, Lee, Ditko & Kirby's early 60s Marvel comics seemed to belong to something almost as old & alien as the Victorian age (in my juvenile eyes).

This is such a slick usage of the Weekly 2-Pager format. The first page of the comic with the Topper/Title becomes what would be now considered 'Backmatter' or rather 'Frontmatter' in this case, while the actual sequentials follow in the next page. Some smart formal play from the 1950s by Hampson!
