Not to be glib, but I am often reminded of an old Simpsons Halloween episode where giant retail mascots start terrorizing Springfield. To stop them, you have to stop giving them attention. “Just don’t look”. Of course we stay vigilant and informed, but don’t keep insanity in the news cycle.
