Hey devs, is there any sort of universal binary for Switch 1 and Switch 2 games? Perhaps it’s best to release S1 games with a graphics mode that runs badly on S1 but 60fps on S2.

It’s a different skill than designing! When working with other designers I use flow diagrams and _concise_ summaries of systems and currencies. Review existing and new design work by how it supports this flow.

This is a beautiful work of art. More games need an intro song.

Remember when Geoff Keighley showcased Midnight Fight Express? Solo dev Jacob Dzwinel made this all alone, with only twelve of his friends, including four artists. Must have been lonely making a game with just a full football team worth of contributors.

How many years must a contributor work on a game before it is no longer a solo dev? Even the Blue Prince wiki uses the term ‘solo dev’.

I know an indie game where the ‘solo dev’ refused to credit translators (from his publisher) because he wanted to say he did everything. It’s a weird inferiority complex.

The Switch 2 Pro Controller is buttery smooth. I wasn’t expecting such a big improvement.

I love that Mario Kart World has a playable Sidestepper Crab from OG Mario Bros, but I wish my crab could wear costumes.

The Switch 2 has some truly terrible setup requirements. I couldn’t load Mario Kart World, a Switch 2 only game, until I charged, updated and paired my Switch 1.
