Just gave away our last 2 car seats to a grandma whose daughter gave birth to twins early & can't leave the hospital w/out them. We like to keep at least 2 on hand for emergencies like this. Can you help us replenish? West Alabama Women's Center 535 Jack Warner Parkway, Ste I Tuscaloosa, AL 35404

I really don't want any children drafted into a forever war. When my sons were born, they were premature and have physical impairments as a result. While everyone wants their children healthy, I remember thinking to look at the positive because they can't be drafted.

The American people were lied to about Vietnam, with tragic consequences. The American people were lied to about Iraq, with tragic consequences. The American people are being lied to again today. We cannot allow history to repeat itself.

Look, I’m not particularly a Harvard booster, but this is the start of a damn cure for type one diabetes. This is the kind of research Trump has killed. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/20/h...

The team responsible for updating the CDC’s “contraception bible,” which advises doctors on birth control safety, was disbanded.

Gift article. I hope insurance continues to cover vaccines. Walgreens offers many vaccines. This would be a good time to get any needed booster shots. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/09/h...

Vaccines save lives.

Great idea!

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd. It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

The data gap in medical research means women are more likely to wait longer for a diagnosis or be misdiagnosed. Women have a 2x greater risk than men for adverse drug reactions across all drug classes and are more likely to be hospitalized because of one. www.chemistryworld.com/features/fix...

Turns out gutting CDC, your science agency, isn't a great look. We ran the numbers, brought receipts and spoiler: it’s worse than you think. Thousands of "working scientists" were cut. Get mad with data: bit.ly/CDCRIFImpacts #RIFMadness #RFKJrHearing

For the first time, doctors have created a customized treatment using the revolutionary gene-editing technique known as CRISPR to treat a baby with a rare, life-threatening genetic disorder.

Imagine what this is going to look like when Medicaid cuts hit? Alabama has aprox 45% of births covered by Medicaid. And still has the highest reported maternal death rate in the US with multiple contributing factors.
