I make a slip collar to attach to the lead point of the harness for each of my fosters. Most dogs I take on abhor being led by the neck but I've heard of too many dogs slipping their harness and running. This lets me lead-train them in a comfortable, secure way. Simple and effective. #RescueDogs

Albie's first car trip was a great success. After the initial excitement he was brilliant. We went for a little walk in a nearby park where there are plenty of interesting smells. He did well for his first walk and will soon be trotting happily, I'm certain. #FosterDog #FastLearner

Albie's had a great first week. He's relaxing now and getting used to the house. His coat is brushed and he loves a bit of fuss. Still to come; house training (getting there), lead training, car journeys and, of course, the Pub Test (my favourite). I think he'll smash them all. #FosterDog

Another peaceful night from Albie with a new spot. He's snuggled against the radiator in the kitchen. He's pretty happy with head scritches now and we're slowly starting to try to run fingers through his fur to detangle it all little. #DogsOfBluesky #RescueDog #FostersSaveLives

Great progress with Albie today. He's eaten and slept well, had a nose around and is now leaning against the sofa in the snug, allowing me to give him ear scritches. His coat is very dirty and matted and there's lots to do but a great start. #DogsofBluesky #RescueDog

Well exciting times for Bertie. just paid the last vet bills. Over €3000 this boy has cost for operations etc. All paid and guess what? He will be off to the UK very, very soon. He's healed to a point where the clinic are happy and he will bring some meds with him to the rescue he is going to. ❤️❤️❤️
