My Aetherdrift prerelease deck. Worked well! My 1 loss came to a really streamlined Gruul deck with a great pilot behind it. The Frog God saved me a few times and Riverchurn did work. I have a personal goal of doing better in tournaments this year. Not at the expense of having fun, though!

I joined the #MTGAetherdrift prerelease tonight! Going 2-1 out of 3 games. 1. 2-0 2. 0-2 3. 2-1 I played a 3-color Bant deck with Sab-Sunen helping me survive until I hit for lethal or milled them out with Riverchurn Monument. I placed 9th overall which I’m not mad at!!!

Theres still a lot for me to mentally unpack from my trip. There was so much I enjoyed. But I have to admit that seeing the overall condition of most places and people had me carrying around a great sadness while I was there.

Come to think of it. I’m at 39 years young and that was my first vacation and family trip, ever. It’s something I never really thought I’d be able to do in life. I’m feeling even more emotional about it as I got to experience this with my family, the absolute love of my life.
