On a Fat Tire bike tour of Berlin, some 15 years apart. Changed a bit since then and gained a couple more for the ride! I always say the best way to get familiar with a new city is to get yourself on a bike tour, even if you've been there before! More photos at wp.me/p6f6qW-7rn #bikesky

Why people don't use the cycle lane or let their kids walk to school. This morning's ride through Chorlton, within the space of a couple of minutes.

Another week, another morning ride down the quays and the Irwell.

Watch highlights from our sets at The StretFest 2025 at Stretford Mall and Stretford Public Hall www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7lv...

No cycling today. Though inspired by the section in @stuartmaconie.bsky.social's book Never Mind the Quantocks, about the Winter Hill Trespass, we were inspired to go for a walk up there.

Busy day yesterday, with the two gigs, but still managed a ride along the Fallowfield Loop and Ashton Canal.

Would you just look at that 😍 Wonderful wand-protected cycle lane on the A56 with bus stop bypasses. Almost 5 years on from when the cones went in, well worth the wait.

Also playing at the public hall's 10th birthday party 🥳🎉

So much fun playing at The StretFest yesterday!

No sunshine like yesterday on this morning's ride. Bridgewater Canal, then over to Ivy Green in Chorlton and onto Salford Quays.

Like this. Maybe they did need that police station that used to be round the corner?

And it’s not just that they park on double yellows, they also park on the pavement www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater...

Active travel for the whole of England is only getting about £150 million a year. Roads for motor vehicles are such an expensive waste of money

Pleasant morning ride over to the quays, then into Salford and back along the Irwell. Slightly too late for sunrise, that's a good sign, longer days on their way!

Morning! ☀️

This looks like it'll be a good new route from the Princess Road junction to Oxford Road, as it's filtered at the Medlock Street end

Back with another in the #Germany23 series. I've often said the best thing to do in a new city is get yourself on a bike tour. This wasn't our first time in Berlin and not even our first bike tour in the city with Fat Tire Tours, but it was lots of fun. #bikesky domcycling.com/2025/02/26/g...

They were putting the green patchwork down on the A56 last night as I went past

Walk Ride GM has today invited Andrew Gwynne MP to join a cycle ride in his constituency, Gorton and Denton. He would experience first-hand the benefits of travelling by cycling and also appreciate why improved provision is urgently needed.

Bumper Deansgate update, it's looking pretty close now, can't wait for it to open!
