Still optimistic, despite the evidence. Still a scientific researcher, evidently.

Trump's attacks on the Department of Education should remind us never to elect to high office anyone without a stake in society. We suffered the same in the UK from 2010, when people who used private healthcare and private schools ripped up public services.

Austerity is a political choice. UK govt gave £70.6bn tax relief on pension contributions. 63% went to 6m 40%/45% tax rate payers. 37% to 28.1m basic rate taxpayers. By fixing the relief at 20% for all Govt can reduce inequalities and have £14.5bn spare. End tax perks of the rich.

There is no shame in requiring benefits due to disability or ill health. There is shame in cutting benefits instead of taxing the rich.

There’s a big difference between wanting “a peace deal” and “wanting a piece” deal. #Ukraine

Britain's economy is being held back by the housing crisis, a lack of affordable childcare and an NHS on the point of collapse. Not because there isn't a third runway at Heathrow.

As we approach #FollowBackFriday, we should remember that the aim of the #FBPE movement is closer integration with Europe. So if you are #ProEU, then I want to follow you. It will take time, we must be patient, but we have lost so much. #FBR #NAFO #Resist #AntiFascist

Has there ever been a worse time to be a Tesla salesperson in Germany?

The UK’s housing costs are sucking life out of our economy youtu.be/yMB9HsJCWmg?... The UK has housing costs 44% more than in similar countries. That means instead of fueling growth and providing for children, the younger people who pay these costs are fueling growing inequality.

That Liz Truss cease and desist letter in full. She has gone completely loco. Such a brave free speech warrior 🥬🥬🥬

Climate Christmas Consequences . . .

Sure it was shit. Yeah it cost billions and achieved sweet FA. But at least they owned the "wokes". (AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?)

The "we've got no money" nonsense is destroying this country. Free flu vaccination for the over 50s was scrapped by the Tories in 2023. The Labour government didn't restore it. The cost of few million is dwarfed by the costs of hospitals clogged with flu patients many over 50. Madness!

The right-wing Daily Express asks its readers to vote on whether Nigel Farage should be the US ambassador. My left-of-centre friends, take the poll and upset their desired outcome. www.msn.com/en-gb/news/u...

'bout right...

There comes a point in all our lives where we throw ourselves on the humanity of others. Houses burn down, partners die, homes flood, cars get stolen... Think of the response you'd want in those moments - and consider how you'd respond to those who came to you. Farage wants hate instead of that.

"Economics Editor for the Spectator" is not the same as "economist", she's an agenda-driven propagandist.

I am completely up to date with my vaccinations. I do this to protect myself, my children my grandchildren and others close who are immune comprimised. #VaccinesSaveLives

This is brilliant...

Brexit the Elephant is writing his Christmas Cards in front of the fire. “Merry Christmas to EU, Sir Keir. Love from Brexit the Elephant xx” “Wishing you a prosperous 2025, Rachel Reeves, back inside the Single Market. xx” #BrexitTheElephant #EU #RejoinEU

Can't we just stand outside, bang pans and clap for them on a Thursday?

"I can't see a model for the future of humanity that I like coming out of China, India or The States. But I can see it in Europe."

It's #FollowBackFriday and so...if you are #ProEU and #FBPE in the UK, think #Brexshit has been a disaster, support Ukraine #SlavaUkraini, detest Farage and Trump et al, and are a #Resister...I want to follow you. Like, ReSkeet, Comment, Follow and Follow Back. #LeftiesOfTheWorldUnite

Kemi Badenoch tells Keir Starmer that "we had a Budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards." Anyway, here's the 'go slow' protest by farmers that blockaded the streets around Parliament following the Conservative Government's last Budget in March
