One great thing about Gus -- he gave up a *terrible* goal in the first period. And he didn't let it break him. Shit happens. How you respond is what matters. And he had the mental toughness to not collapse after tanking one.

Everyone who questioned Hynes and Guerin when they wre hesitant to rush 97 and 14 back ... you can take a seat. #wild

Only Minnesota teams do this. I'm not going to do any research. I'm just sure of myself.

#Twins groundkeepers are going through so many bags of Diamond Dry on this rainy day that by the 9th inning they'll be playing on Theseus's infield.

If tonight is any indicator, we're in for some amazing first-round action from the Stars-Avs series as well as the Oilers-Kings series! #ifIwereMagicJohnson

Who will make the ketchup that he throws at the wall?

“What do you mean he had the ‘concepts of a plan’?”

The Twins have won 3 of their last 4 games. Correa played 9 innings in the game they lost. Correa played 7 innings (total) and had two AB in the three games they won. If you want to know what's "wrong" with the #Twins, you could start right there. And that's a massive problem for management.

As a shortstop, Willi Castro is a heck of an outfielder.

Ty France and Harrison Bader weren't going to keep this up forever. Someone else is going to have to hit like they were expected to.

MLB umps are not good. The Mets just got screwed there.

Louis (Don't Call Me Louie) Varland just came into the game and absolutely blew away the Tigers' 4-5-6 hitters, fanning Torkelson and Colt Keith with his knuckle curve before devastating Zach McKinstry with 99.5 mph heat. That's as dominant an inning you're ever going to see.

For once, this isn’t a dumpster fire at Target Field. Looks like a car is on fire atop Ramp B.

Hynes looks like he’s auditioning for a role in Goodfellas II, Random Acts of Murder Boogaloo. #wild

With a 1-2-3 ninth inning, Emilio Pagán just earned a save for the Cincinnati Reds.

If you're watching the Wolves and your sphincter isn't clenched as they lead by 21 in the fourth quarter, you aren't a Minnesotan.

Holy shit, the Ducks.

I didn't think you could make Foreigner any worse. Then I heard the "Cold as Ice" dub-step remix playing during BP at Target Field and discovered how wrong I was.

Correa's exit velocity was 49.1 mph. Buxton's was 36.5. But one got a hit and one got an RBI. That's what happens when you put the ball in play, a skill this team has been sorely lacking since the days of the Bomba Squad.

It's a partial sellout here at Target Field on Opening Day. #Twins

The Xcel Energy Center just got Party Rocked. (Trying to recreate the vibes of Twitter when it was still good and not a fascist circle jerk.)

Pretty slick night for the #timberwolves.
