Disneyland History - Yesterland Today we walk over to Tomorrowland to ride the Flying Saucers. This attraction which opened in 1961 was for a single rider (or 2 kids) where the saucer floated on air and moved by you leaning. It closed in 1966 as a maintenance headache.

Disney history, 2/22/1928 Actor, writer, and comedian Paul Dooley is born. He was the voice of Sarge in both Cars, Cars2, plus shorts. Dooley also provided the voice for Hank in tv show Disney's Recess. (He was co-creator and head writer for the children's series The Electric Company).
