quick, what happens when you tank your imports during the buying season for q3/q4 and screw up air travel during peak tourism season

The NBA deciding shoves/elbows/forearms cannot be flagrant fouls, only technicals, if they come after the whistle has been a terrible precedent*. *one initially established to give Draymond Green a longer leash, always a great and necessary choice.

Did not know Isaiah Hartenstein played a season professionally with his father as a teammate in Germany. So LeBron and Bronny really was not an all-time first or whatever. Just loud noises.

For example: Wisconsin fired Paul Chryst unexpectedly at 2-3 in 2022, having just getting blown out by Illinois, 34-10. The next three games? at Northwestern at Michigan State vs. Purdue

Though advancing itself looks very touch and go just now.

I firmly believe *this* is why Mike Malone was fired. The Nuggets wanted to part ways, but they feared him winning his way back into another season in the job, a la a disappointing college football coach looking at 3 games against the bottom teams in his division. Fire him before the winning streak.

If this were an NCAA Tournament game, the world would laugh so hard. It would also be more entertaining.

The Thunder and Nuggets have combined to go 2-of-33 from deep so far in this game. You, yes *YOU*, can shoot better than that. Go to your nearest hoop, get lucky three times, be proud of yourself.

The NBA sacrificing quality of basketball for ratings is 1) expected in corporate America. 2) so dumb. Just flip today's games. Put Cavs-Pacers into this afternoon spot rather than having Thunder-Nuggets tip off at 1:30 local time fewer than 38 hours after Game 3 ended. We don't need 17-8 quarters.

If @christopherhine.bsky.social is watching Thunder vs. Nuggets, he is inevitably riffing about the costs of NBA players missing their naptimes during afternoon games.

Where do we stand on Jay Bilas on the calls of these playoff games? I wasn't thrilled in Thunder-Nuggets Game 3, but also was far from putting on vinyls like I do whenever I hear Reggie Miller's nonsense.

Last night's Game 3 win moved the Timberwolves more than I expected. Now +240 or +250 to win the West. Call that about a 29% chance, based solely on the odds.

Not the point, but also true of every spot in the gambling content industry.

good morning science

Two seriously news organizations, probably more that I haven’t seen, referring to Afrikaners as refugees feels like confirmation we are living in the worst doublespeak simulation

the universe continues to hand politicians and the media even easier and more obvious ways to illustrate his commitment to corruption to further his personal interests (it will continue to be ignored)

Draymond left the game w/ 6:46 left in the 3Q after picking up his 4th foul. The next 3 Wolves' possessions? - Ant paint score - Randle rim miss (good look) - Ant paint score - Ant draws shooting foul Ant went attack mode and scored 7 straight Wolves points -- it got him going.

“We are not all here” sign at the @nashvillesc game ⚽️ as fans stay home out of fear of ICE raids

Tim Legler: "Jimmy Butler didn't score a single point in the final 8 minutes of the game and that's where the Warriors lead dissipated."

think this is the underrated value of sports, with the fragmentation of longstanding political and cultural monoliths, sports are one of the only remaining ties that bind. Want to feel part of a civic organism? You can join a protest at the Capitol, or you can go to a bar with a tv ahead of Game 3.

Ups to my “Wolves in 5” skeeters, that shit’s still in order

Julius Randle had 12 assists on the night. Six of those were to Anthony Edwards in the second half.

Julius Randle is the first Timberwolves player since Kevin Garnett in 2004 to record a postseason triple-double 🔥 H/T @lawmurraythenu.bsky.social

Choosing to believe this. Still Wolves in 5.

Big agree. This was the one to escape with. Jimmy exhausted. Another chance to study Kuminga. This was the one.

Home court Jimmy went off. Not enough.

Starting to think all Villanova grads partied too hard after the papal news.

The Timberwolves shooting 6-of-20 from deep is an improvement. The *WARRIORS* taking only five 3s in a half (and not making any!) is a sign of the apocalypse. Also what will lose them this game.

Jimmy Butler had more first quarter buckets in Game 3 (5/7 FGs) than Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle combined (4/14 FGs) But it's only tied because Golden State is getting spanked on the glass

Just the opening quarter Golden State needed. Their defense has them in it, Wolves looked puzzled the last few minutes offensively. 8-for-24 from the field for Minnesota.

The way ANT navigates angles is some of the best in all of basketball. He's completely in control here.
