I get it. You want to be politically neutral. You’re just not that into politics. You want to get along with both sides. You want to believe you can stay above the fray and go about business as usual. You want it to be one way. But it’s the other way.

It doesn’t matter that he’s a father and husband. It doesn’t even matter that he’s innocent. What matters is that you can’t do this to people without due process.

I've been in El Salvador all day fighting for the return of Mr. Abrego Garcia. The Trump Administration can lie all they want, but the Court said they failed to show he was part of MS-13. This is about bringing home a man they ADMIT should never have been abducted. I won't rest until then.

Is it bad if the Attorney General doesn’t care whether people know she’s a liar

Old enough to remember when the GOP thought the biggest scandal in the world was the Obama admin's IRS reviewing the tax exempt status of some right leaning non-profits.

Don't have time to look it up now but I've love the see a comparison of the size of the tourism and coal mining industries in the contemporary United States. How many Americans, for example, are employed in each?

Would be cool if the owner of Fox News cared about truth as much as the owner of the Wall Street Journal

Please repeat over and over: “Bending to the whims of a bully will not end his cruelty. It will only embolden him. The response to authoritarianism isn’t acquiescence. Bullies respond to one thing, and one thing only: a punch in the face.” —Gov. JB Pritzker

All of everyone’s rights are on the line

Not an ideal development but recent events have really vindicated Law School Doug’s decision to read Jeffrey Toobin’s The Nine when I should have been studying for my administrative law exam

Says the guy whose charity was shut down by the state of New York for making illegal campaign contributions.

What does a predator do when it senses weakness?

"Have y'all been to space?" is a fantastic quote, 10/10 no notes

Rubio continues to confirm that he's not the normie, guardrail enforcing, rational member of the Trump 2.0 cabinet some people thought he would be. His transformation to aspiring autocrat has been stunning to watch unfold...

We wouldn’t be having this conversation if there had been accountability for Guantánamo

Ed Martin failed to disclose 150 Russian state media appearances to the Senate. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

This is true leadership from Chris Van Hollen and Marylanders should consider calling his office to tell him you’re glad he’s doing it

Sure, they’re trying to illegally destroy and weaponize every institution in America, but at least they’re not also the most unqualified, unhinged, untrustworthy people a Nazi billionaire could find

Can we talk about how ridiculous it is, in the context of the history of the western hemisphere, for the United States government to claim it has no leverage with a Central American dictator who walked into the Oval Office 36 hours ago

“Donald Trump never gave a shit about fighting antisemitism, which is a fact that’s important to state upfront… [Nothing Trump] ever communicated with regard to the Jewish people made us safer—and none of it was supposed to”

Writing about someone as though they act in good faith when you know they are acting in bad faith both generally and specific to the situation is not "politically neutral"

I’m Pete Maysmith and today is my first day as the new president of the League of Conservation Voters (LCV), and my first day on Bluesky! I’m a dad, a Westerner, a biker and runner, and I can’t wait to get started leading the fantastic team at LCV. Here is some of what we are already doing: 1/10

First they come for whoever they think they can get away with coming for, and once they can come for anyone, they can come for ANYONE. Shameful that any Jewish leader would play into the fascists’ hands like this, even in the measured way Lipstadt did.

Among other things, Harvard standing up to Trump (assuming they stick to their guns) is an all-time, hall-of-fame good argument for the continuing prominence of private universities in this country, and when we fix higher ed costs/debt, we need to remember that

Trump used to say people should vote for him because “what do you have to lose?” but the reality is nobody has ever had more to lose than the American people do right now

Hollywood post-Barbenheimer loves occasionally making new IP, doing nothing to promote it, canceling/writing it off before anyone knows it exists, and then blaming audiences for not Supporting Original Content

If we want our own legal rights to matter, we need to fight for everyone’s legal rights to matter

👀🚨JICYMI: New Quinnipiac Poll: More Americans now disapprove of Trump on immigration by 50% to 45% (including 51% independents) MAJORITY of Americans now disapprove of Trump on deportations by 53% to 42% poll.qu.edu/poll-release... cc: @schumer.senate.gov @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social l

de Blasio did this to a groundhog once

Either everyone has due process or no one has any rights

you have to judge these things on a scale. Is it as big as George Clooney reporting that Biden is old? As big as Tim Walz mixing up what month he was in Hong Kong in 1989? As big as ANTHONY WEINERS LAPTOP?

Again, <no one> knows the right amount of “viewpoint diversity” at universities, but it simply can’t include “all views on the political spectrum” at a serious institution, when one of our two parties traffics in complete lies & outright rejection of all empirical evidence: bsky.app/profile/mcop...

They violated a court order to keep the AP out of the event where they publicly violated a different court order

This regime pretends to care so much about antisemitism but they clearly have not read Exodus
