operator: toddler 9-1-1, what's your emergency? toddler: MY SOCKS! operator: you can't find them or you don't like how they fit? toddler: THEY'RE ITCHY! operator: who made you wear them? toddler: I DID! operator: we'll get through this together--do you know how to scream?

Showing your child affection improves their mental and physical well-being, increases brain development, and might even one day save the American taxpayers forty-five million dollars.

I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

One grievance that needs redressing is that, rather than detaining and deporting people who are here illegally, employees of the executive branch are abducting and kidnapping people they claim are here illegally. Due process is the only thing that can transform the latter into the former.

SGA fouls with a push off, slides into a travel, hits the shot. Announcers: “Masterful.”

No Kings includes Scott Foster

That foul on Toppin probably wasn’t a flagrant either. But by the standard the refs set, I guess it was. #Pacers

That was *not* a flagrant by the Pacers. These officials are fucked.

That foul disparity is hard to compete against. #Pacers

Another startling fact: the government recommends that children eat food nearly every day of their life. The agriculture industry spends hundreds of millions of dollars on lobbying every year. Really makes you think.

this guy is gonna start WW3 to avoid jail

The Indiana Pacers are finally answering those questions your spouse or child asked when first watching the NBA with you, such as "why do the teams always walk the ball up court?" and "why don't the teams guard the other team as soon as they inbound the ball after a shot?"

The Pacers are terrifying.

I spent some time at the site where protestors incinerated five Waymos—all lined up neatly in a row in downtown LA—and spoke to journalists, eyewitnesses and activists who were there. This is how protestors weaponized Waymos and Lime scooters, and turned them into icons of the anti-ICE uprising

incredible Brian Wilson self-edit here:

I’ve never forgotten this picture from 2016 and how it completely reshaped my understanding of how the media covers protests.

This is charitable framing. In Indiana, I don't think "school choice" has "strayed from its roots" or "evolved." Saving the children of families without resources from "failing schools" was never more than a pretext.

Martin Phillip Fjellanger Let this man go viral Los Angeles

Let’s be clear: ICE injured and detained the president of SEIU California for peacefully observing. ICE picked the wrong side. The wrong state. The wrong person. and the wrong union. David Huerta stood up. And now 750,000 SEIU workers are standing up behind him. seiuca.org/press-releas...

Funniest basketball team of all time.

There was a lot of chatter about the Thunder being so obviously better than the Pacers, but those discussions failed to take into account that the Pacers have the blessing of either a god or a devil or possibly both. Common mistake in evaluating sports.

Maybe one for @artbutmakeitsports.bsky.social

Never stop having horrible takes, New York Times.

The Pacers made themselves one of those Robert Johnson Crossroads type deals, I think.

Pacers:

The #Pacers war on math continues unabated.

Do you have to lead for an entire second of an NBA game for it to count as a win? Asking for a friend. #Pacers
