He probably just means thinner. Society was, on average, much thinner/more active. Newsflash: that don’t mean that everyone was healthier. Fact is, RFK Jr is privileged and doesn’t seem able to disentangle his social status and wealth from perceptions of wellbeing. And he’s in charge of health.

The solution isn’t making eating animals less environmentally impactful, it’s eating fewer animals. Pastoralists bang this ideological drum continually with airy notions of transforming currently unused landscapes for grazing. The logistics and cost of such plans are conspicuous by their absence.
