Woke up to the news that my book officially went to print overnight! It is so very fitting that my love letter to my children and our generation went to print #mothersday weekend! I can't wait to share it with you #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient

Me: “Eleanor, what’s this?” Eleanor: “Oh do you like it! In art class I was talking the whole time and when the teacher said time to finish up, I hadn’t done anything so I came up with this idea! When I turned it in, she said: is that what you did for 40 minutes?!?!” 🤣😂🤘🏻 #neurodiveristy is #awesome

Friends! My book, Be Unapologetically Impatient, arrives next month! I can’t wait to share it with you. Here’s an excerpt! #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient Subscribe at drchriscip.com for first access. #inclusion #emotionalintelligence #mindset #justice 🤘🏻

May is #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth Students learn nothing by building a culture of fear around them.

I remember way back when being a political science major in undergrad and learning about tacit consent. The idea ran true to my core; if you aren't participating, you are conceeding. If you aren't helping, you are harming. #StudentsOverPolitics #EDMatters #SaveOurStudents

Hey, I know that guy! ❤️ Nothing like handing off the single parenting switch from the airport #workhardplayhard

Sorry, not sorry. Don't apologize for your kids and needs. I had so much fun chatting about my forthcoming book, #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient on the In It podcast. Check it out! www.understood.org/en/podcasts/... #Inclusion #Understood #InIt #Neurdivergence #Equity #education

Public education is under attack. Special education is under attack. Higher education is under attack. Highlight of #AERA for me was being in community with organizers from across our country willing to stand up for #education. www.chalkbeat.org/colorado/202...

Last night I received the Distinguished Contribution to Human Development in Education Research Award from #AERA Division E. In my acceptance remarks I encouraged the room to share your science publicly, clearly, and right now. We mush show up for all kids, schools, and families. Loudly.

Honored to receive the #NCME Annual Award for Exceptional Achievement in Educational Measurement this year.

Kick off your #AERA with us tomorrow morning 9am Convention Center room 702. We’ll be talking about all the science the administration says we’re not supposed to talk about. Hope to see you there #SEL #DEI #Evidence #Data #mentalhealth #education

To date, less than 20% of the disability-related discourse from the current Admistration humanizes individuals with disabilities. See for yourself at www.disabilitydiscoursematters.org #DisabilityDiscourseMatters uses #AI to catalog disability-related discourse among leaders in the US. Right Now.

I know better than to attempt to write while all four of my kids are home from school. And yet, I still try. And then I brewed my third cup of coffee with no cup under it. #gameover

My heart is with all the students and educators at Florida State right now.

Today I had the honor of speaking at a press conference hosted by Senator Blumenthal. CT formally refused to sign the administration's DEI compliance order. Check out my complete remarks here- #SaveOurStudents #EDMatters #StudentsOverPolitics #beunapologeticallyimpatient (views my own)

Dr. Michael McCarthy leads highly impactful translational science at the intersection of #inclusive #SEL #practice and #policy. I’m proud and privileged to learn with Mike. www.warner.rochester.edu/blog/leading...

So much fun this morning guest lecturing in @julia-a-leonard.bsky.social course translating developmental science into education practice and policy

Tonight I gave a keynote for a conference in Chile. Last month was Dublin. Before that Munich. Before that Paris. Each time I get questions about what they are seeing about the US in the media. It’s simultaneously devastating and affirming. The world is learning from our action and inaction.

How about tech investors considers how #AI can improve the experiences and servicing of people with durable medical equipment and supplies. The processes and systems are ARCHAIC and the actual definition of inefficient. Potential for outsized ROI! #disability #inclusion #access #edtech

“We are all teachers, whether or not you consider yourself one. Children learn from what they hear us say and what they see us do. And in the absence of our actions, they learn from our silence.” #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient Arriving this summer. Subscribe for updates at drchriscip.com

As an applied developmental scientist, I continue to have complicated feelings about my science being salient, or dare I say, evergreen. #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient

Identities are a form of adversity in the U.S. not because of who we are, but because of how we treat each other in the systems we live in. It's time to #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient.

Where are the national headlines on the devastating cuts to Head Start?!?!

ICYMI, April is Autism Acceptance month. Call your representative and let them know that vaccines don’t cause Autism. Call your representative and let them know that Autism Acceptance is DEI. #Inclusion #Disabilities #Equity #AutismAcceptance #Neurodivergence #BeUnapologeticallyImpatient

#Vaccines do not cause #Autism. And, last time I checked, when scientists are found to have falsified their data they are discredited from leading science in their field thereafter. I guess #cancelculture has selection bias...

I am holding all the program officers and scientists at #IES in my heart today, and am committed to living the legacy of critical work forward for our nation's public school students, teachers, and families. #EdMatters #SaveOurStudents #StudentsOverPolitics #SpeakUpforED

Students with disabilities need the Department of Education. Cancelling their access and opportunity to thrive in public education isn’t efficient. It’s ableist. #EdMatters #SaveOurStudents #StudentsOverPolitics #SpeakUpforED

Block grants are a scam that will defund public education. Block grants means less money for public education, fewer resources for students, and no accountability when states shortchange kids. #EdMatters #SaveOurStudents #StudentsOverPolitics #SpeakUpforED

The next meeting off our online seminar series is coming up in a little over a week, on Friday March 14. We are thrilled to host Dr. Chris Cipriano (@drchriscip.bsky.social) from the Yale School of Medicine to share her work developing a living systematic review on social emotional learning.
