Johnson, Truss, Sunak ... which was the best Prime Minister?

Amazing that even the offering of "thoughts and prayers" is now further down the list of things to do in response to a tragedy than offering praise to Trump

There's a popular narrative that big businesses are supporting Trump out of fear. I think this is laughably naive. They know only "little people" are at risk. They're doing it to capitalise on the opportunity of public money being dispersed to the private sector while public services burn.

Big businesses like Nvidia were always going to kow-tow to Trump. They know a cash cow when they see it blogs.nvidia.com/blog/ai-poli...

My new starting word was a stonker!

Got this nice Christmas present from Wordle. Now I need to find a new starting word...

Scrooge: You there, boy! What day is it? ChatGPT: Days were invented by the Druids in 1974

Lots of anger here, but taking positives 1. There's no sign of government folding to the "this is fair use" bullshit. A specific exception is necessary. Hope courts will agree! 2. "Opt out" is disappointing, but it's a carrot to the large stick requiring companies to say what they've scraped

Good point here. It's not that the murder of a healthcare CEO isn't bad, it's that it's fairly far down the list of awful things that news and media refuse to call out as being awful because of "balance"

"...milk is not … a significant source of probiotics in the first place, and that the bacteria found in raw milk – which come through infected udder tissues, or the dairy environment including soil and cow manure), and milking equipment – are not the kinds that benefit our digestive systems."
