My lovely boss @amychandler.bsky.social has written a blog about the fabulous Suicide Culture seminar series (which is still hosting online seminars this semester but also has lots of recorded talks in their repository)...

The Culture of Care programme provides an important opportunity to transform inpatient care.Today, we @ncish.bsky.social held an excellent national learning event with Rory O'Connor @roryoc.bsky.social & Seonaid Cleare. Always brilliant to have @dremmanielsen.bsky.social co-facilitating events

@drknipe.bsky.social Welcome 👋

Recording of face down restraint can be an issue too. I had a several hour prone restraint, later apologised for (not denied), in a hospital that when a journalist asked how many face down restraints they had, disclosed zero. ‘Zero’ in a hospital where it was so routine no-one intervened for hours

With the UK Parliament reportedly considering a longer-term ban on puberty blockers, here is the evidence against the ban I provided to the UK Government and Commission on Human Medicines. I have no doubt that Parliament will ignore that evidence today. But this is a long fight we intend to win.

JOB ALERT! We're currently recruiting a Senior Research Fellow for the Discovering Liveability project. The post is full-time, hybrid and fixed term until August 2031. elxw.fa.em3.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/Candid... Repost/send on to anyone who might be interested please! @amychandler.bsky.social

Definitely agree - and for all universal public services. Remember a long and tedious set of arguments back in the day on this re a local council libraries review - isn't it as important to know why people *don't* use a service?

Well the @uniofnottingham.bsky.social campus looks pretty in its autumnal colours this morning

Some gems on this list, not least @drem79.bsky.social who is never afraid to skirt around the difficult issues, and to do so with compassion and grit 👊

@drleahquinlivan.bsky.social Hello you! Very much finding my feet over here and always excellent to see a friendly face

So I should probably introduce myself 👋 Previously a postdoc working on Autism Adapted Safety Plans and the Involvement Manager for Digital Youth, I’m currently a consultant for the Culture of Care Programme (www.rcpsych.ac.uk/improving-ca...) and a collaborator with @edaceatingautism.bsky.social

A reminder (as I’d forgotten): Google jamboards will be view only from October 1st so go in and export stuff you want to save. Still furious about this. An online tool that had actually come to be accepted and expected by users, and they get rid of it.
