The image of Elon waving that stupid chainsaw around while I watch real people with families and bills lose their actual jobs is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. Cruel and evil.

We're probably stuck with this type of thinking going forward since America seems to think millionaires who can hang on a podcast are the best prepared executives, but it is incredibly crass to view our international allies as business partners first, democratic allies second.

It will take 5-10 years to repair the damage they have done to recruiting in the DOD and that's IF they don't fire all the probationaries. I don't think people understand how much damage has been done with the attack on the civil service.

Lol

I will keep saying we have the greatest fighting force in the world as our military and for some reason these people are choosing to surrender to an over the hill Russian dictator.

I have spent most of my life disagreeing with @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social about basically everything, but I will respect him forever after reading this. www.vanityfair.com/news/story/t...

Absolute cowards.

I hope people understand that this administration intends to hand Ukraine to Russia and Taiwan to China. www.reddit.com/r/fednews/s/...

Imagine being in charge of the most lethal fighting force the world has ever seen and tweeting out this weak ass shit.

My God. This is what this country is right now.

Democrats better not provide a single vote on the budget. Not one.

I was messing with Gemini advanced a couple days after Trump pardoned blagojevich. I asked it who President Trump had pardoned earlier in the week, and it confidently answered "Hunter Biden and Dr. Fauci, among others." 🤷‍♂️

Seems we've moved way beyond rto, but worth mentioning that the telework enhancement act of 2010 was implemented across the fed workforce to improve...ahem... efficiency! Currently feds are short on seats bc agencies reduced their footprint to save $$. Trump's rto order is costing taxpayers money.

America's so boned, man.

Agreed. Although some people are familiar with "probationary" as including new employees with no disciplinary records, using the term here misstates the nature of Trump's action. This was geared specifically at who he can most easily fire, and the answer was "hired within the past two years."

I don't know if people understand what just happened to the federal service. Firing all probationary employees is a disaster that will have effects for a generation. Absolute disaster.

The only real recourse for a president trying to lay off 200k federal employees while also openly bribing a NYC mayor and also impounding congressionally appropriated funds is impeachment. That's why impeachment exists.

this was all the one thing the constitution was supposed to prevent

Actually they're not gonna need shit from Dems as long as Elon has access to the Treasury system, and I don't see anyone trying to stop him.

More of this please, this will definitely be very popular among normie Trump voters.

They're not poorly conceived, they're illegal.

Eh the easy rebuttal to this is Trump can pardon them all. Things are bad, but we're not quite at whatever this is describing.

You will love this pod if you were alive in the 90s and love 90s thrillers and action movies.
