Slicing your knuckle wide open on jagged, filthy metal is not fun..the first time. Weirdly, when I did it to the same knuckle but much worse a few months later, it was just funny. We had lots of laughs at the urgent care last night as I got my 4 stitches. I'm a slow learner, turns out.

I finished reading I Cheerfully Refuse last night and loved it so much. Can't wait to check out Enger's other work! As a MN expat, it was nice to read a book set in and around Minnesota that wasn't dripping with localisms too. Not that I don't love some of that but they can't ALL be Fargo.
