Can someone recreate that Green Party nursery sketch only with current world leaders... 😉 www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2dN...

I know it's a rather byzantine notion, but how about just doing the right thing... www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

From this report, it's hard to see what warrants the claim of a 'change of attitude'. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

How can you spend so much time with health professionals and have no clue about health provision? www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

It's quite a feat for a government to dig so many holes for itself in such a short time. It's almost like watching a darkly comical satire play out in real time. www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

The language used here is straight out of the proto nationalist playbook. All because they have neither the wit nor the political ambition to address the systemic problems that afflict the country. Disgraceful. www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

How much mental contortion was required to conjure this absurd rationale? This is what happens when you elect 'pragmatists' - not responsive government, but knee jerk governing. www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

Pandering to Reform voters is the strategy of the weak and vacuous. So predictable. You might as well just open the door and wave Farage in. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

A very long article to say what has always been true: every generation thinks the previous one is arse... the pertinent question is why would anybody suddenly start to care...? www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

Do people who comment like this realise how pathetic they sound?

I don't 'refuse to use' AI, I just don't use AI; in the same way that I don't shoplift, or plagiarise other people's books - it requires no effort of will, it's just not something I would think of doing

Hubris at home, weakness abroad....

An unwelcome intervention from the wrong person at the wrong time. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Brian Friel’s vanishing world - In the playwright’s short stories, modernity collides with an older, more mysterious sense of place. www.newstatesman.com/culture/book...

Just to say, if like me your feed is alot of US politics to the exclusion of UK/Ireland accounts, then reposting content you like - even if it's just the picture of a beach - rather than just liking it, really works. My feed has improved (along with some judicious muting) immeasurably.

Fewer platitudes and a clearer vision might be a better start. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

The problem with pragmatism is that it's just consequentialism ... In Starmer's case, this is akin to a rabbit staring hopelessly in the headlights of incoming traffic.

When will the reality sink in that the 'special relationship' is a fiction; it has been for some time? www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Appeasement. A strategy with such an impeccable track record of success. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

It was only a matter of time.... www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Dogged insistence on a 'form' of fiscal rules that does not tax the super rich will increase inequality. No surprise there; it's what they are designed to do. Unless this thinking changes, the future will be ever more bleak.

Is there a point to Labour if it cannot think beyond an economy designed to privilege the interests of the already wealthy? Short answer, no! www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

There is no 'deal'. Russia must withdraw its forces from Ukraine. That's it.

Cancel the ill advised state visit. Appeasement was callow at best in the 1930s, but unforgivable now...

Utterly flabbergasted at that display from Trump/Vance. I don't think I could be more pessimistic about the future. #Trump #Ukraine
