Supports finally offered. We spent some time getting those in place. And what a difference they made. What a relief. So now? Apparently they are mended. Cured? Time to put those hurdles back. Before they all start asking for them.. (got to think about that tax payers purse)

Alongside outcomes & finances, we need to focus on quality of life & learning for disabled children at school and to implement effective accountability systems for those in charge of implementation. Parents would not be fighting for EHCPs if their children were thriving.

1. For my doctoral thesis I explored the lived experiences of masking black autistic girls in UK schools and looked at how racism and ableism work in tandem to influence such experiences and how societal structures and systems marginalise and oppress groups deemed to not meet preconceived
