So. It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year. I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

I just had a great first meeting with the Executive Director of the organization I'll be supporting in my new pro bono consulting project. They do super-important work (as do all these organizations), and while what I do might not change the world, this work can help people.

1/3 BREAKING A Cook County judge today ordered the release of a #Chicago man who has spent nearly 29 years locked up for a murder he says he didn’t commit. The judge yesterday tossed out Robert Johnson's conviction. He was 16 when arrested after Eddie Binion's murder on the South Side.
