Via Jay Kuo on Facebook: "It has come to this. Governor Tony Evers of Wisconsin has issued guidance to state employees advising them what and what not to do when encountering federal agents at their workplace. This is a clap back over ICE overreach. Other blue state leaders take heed."

Elon Musk's DOGE has access to 19 sensitive systems at the Department of Health and Human Services. In at least one instance, it appears that access was granted without the proper security training.

Reposted with alt text. Of course, what do *checks notes* Doctors know about human biology?

This is good messaging for Dems and it happens to be true

i think “abducted by ICE” is not at all editorializing and factually accurate.

How about the US stop paying El Salvador to imprison people grabbed in the US and rendered to El Salvador without due process? That’d be an easily doable first step. Sen. Kennedy must know this. So he’s lying to the American people in order to help violate both rights and explicit court orders.

You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

This whole blaming the black mold business: the bigotry started long before the mold was present. The black mold is not the cause of some new form of bigotry. It’s suggesting the person, who has always been vile, just needs to be removed from the proximity to the mold and they’ll change.

Dear media, It's trafficking The word you're looking for is trafficking Coupled with kidnapping The only thing he's deporting is a fuckton of American embarrassment to every country in the world. STOP calling them deportations. That is a legal term. It's not even close to what he's actually doing

Keep scrolling for the updates. Apparently, we’re all supposed to silently and passively submit to kidnappings these days as long as the masked kidnappers tell us to. This is out of control.

I'm glad I'm not the only one raising the red flags and screaming about this. www.newsweek.com/trump-execut...

Fifteen years ago, UKIP had 3.1% of the vote and no seats. Then one hint of a principled stance from Brown dismissing anti-immigrant hate as bigotry, and the entire faux-liberal elite of the media & political class forced him to bend the knee. They made their choice of fascism good, socialism bad.

If you think a just-fertilized ovary is entitled to life but are indifferent to what happens to a kidnapped 4-year-old with cancer, sent to a dangerous country without meds, you don’t give a fuck about the lives of children. You are just in a cult that fetishizes being against abortions.

Several research institutes in Germany are joining a worldwide grass-roots effort to save science data sets that researchers fear could be deleted or decommissioned on the orders of US President Donald Trump’s administration 🧪🦠 www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Can't cook, dress, eat, or toilet unaided? Soon, that won’t qualify you for help. 1.3 million disabled people face losing support. Read that again. #PIP 👇😞

Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation. I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

So important ➡️ In 2016 when North Carolina issued a ‘bathroom bill’, similar to what is happening in the UK right now, our Conservative government issues a travel warning to LGBTQ+ people. They recognised North Carolina was not a safe place for LGBTQ+ people. Our MPs need this spelled out to them.

Musk’s staffers are now forcing federal employees at several agencies including the FAA to sign non-disclosure agreements. The goal is simple: silence the resistance through more threats and now, forced agreements. Maybe we’re not supposed to be talking about being forced to sign NDAs… oops, lol.

To everyone shouting “no one is above the law” referring to that Milwaukee judge: We have a criminal in the White House. A guy who’s proven to be utterly lawless. And you’re perfectly fine with that. So take your “no one is above the law” bullshit and shove it up your ass.

Members of the Congressional Labor Caucus wrote the letter after NPR reported that a whistleblower says DOGE may have removed sensitive labor data and compromised the security of computer systems.

The Justice Department quietly invoked the Alien Enemies Act last month, granting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents the power to conduct warrantless searches of people’s homes based solely on suspicion that they are “alien enemies.”

WI Senators not mincing words. Calling Fascism, Fascism.

"Over the course of the past three days, the Trump administration took a two-year-old U.S. citizen into custody, along with her mother and sister, and deported the child to Honduras with little to no individualized process, prompting sharp concern from a conservative federal judge on Friday."

NEW: Students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha just passed a Firewall for Freedom resolution to protect speech rights on campus. To all young people fighting for students' rights: The ACLU and @amnesty.org have your back.

No attorney general should ever speak like this. She's Trump's advocate, not the people's lawyer, which is what the AG's job is. Whatever state she is barred in should start disciplinary proceedings immediately. This isn't subtle or arguable, it's wrong.

Maxime Bernier, leader of a party with zero seats, is in front of Broadview PS in Westboro today with a bunch of transphobes, harassing a bunch of elementary schools kids. What a sad, sad man.

This is how they release prisoners at CECOT in El Salvador. And we are paying for these mass exterminations. The #orangeshitweasel wants to send AMERICANS there. Please don't scroll by this, pass it on. And follow @gabemiller.bsky.social

I know a lot gets forgotten about the first Trump administration but they arrested a local judge for the exact same thing in 2019. This isn't the first time. This is a fascist move by this administration but one they've done before.

Got due process: George Santos Steve Bannon Paul Manafort Peter Navarro Roger Stone George Papadopoulos Allen Weisselberg 129 J6 insurrectionists Donald Trump They were all convicted They’re not special. Everybody must get due process. Demand it. We’re America. That’s how we roll.

After Abrego Garcia was deported, the administration initially scrambled to try to figure out how to bring him home, admitting that his alleged gang ties were tenuous, at best. Then the negative coverage started and they decided the fight would be a political win. Disgusting.

Developing now: Judge Dugan has since been released. We are calling for a rapid community response: Join Voces de La Frontera at 3 pm at the Federal Building (517 E Wisconsin) to say NO to the charges against Judge Dugan.

Who is DOGE? In fact, there are two DOGEs: the repurposed US Digital Service, now known as the US DOGE Service, and a temporary organization within it called, naturally, the US DOGE Service Temporary Organization, which is tasked with carrying out the DOGE agenda. Confused? Let us break it down:

The scapegoating is in full effect. Trump will do everything possible to keep Whiskey Pete in office, even at the expense of national security. Simply because he doesn’t want to admit he screwed up.

reporting on this has really got to get better about communicating the magnitude of the breach here. if you read the nyt article with minimal context, you would have no sense that this was watergate-level impeachable misconduct

How are you doing updating your resume? Tips I have heard and am using: 1) be sure to include information for all job series you may qualify for. You may want to list all the series you are interested in. 2) it is time to over-share! Cover as much as possible. Don’t worry about it being too long.

a duty to the country to be "healthy" and "fit" was literally a core part of nazi ideology like...the mask has long fallen completely off

It boggles my mind that anyone would say Democrats have to choose between slamming Trump and the GOP on tariffs and slamming them on due process (Abrego Garcia) because one is a "distraction" from the other. Just dumb. Slam them--completely flatten them--on both and more, ove and over.

🌞 Happy Arbor Day, Friends! 🌿 Sometimes, the cruelty and chaos of Trump’s administration can make the idea of a better world feel distant or hard to grasp. 🌍 When that happens, take a moment to zoom out—to the lifespans of trees. Nothing lasts forever, and even the toughest moments will pass. 🌱
