When it comes to Democrats, I think we need issue leaders right now, and start referring to specific issues, like Warren on Education, Sanders on Commerce or Labor, right now there are too many issues for us to have one person's plan be the counter to all of it, but if we break it up we can start.

You know, physical product tariffs are a short-term revenue stream, but what about an intellectual property tariff? I.E. if you are a US-based company and want to "import" support from a call center across the world, you must pay a percentage of the wages as a tariff to the federal government.

The truth is that Progressive Taxes aren't fair, but then again, capitalism isn't fair. If the lower and middle classes can pull themselves along by bootstraps, I am sure the top tax brackets can do it by loafers and boat shoes and still manage to be okay.
