Robbie’s spinal anaesthesia tip for this week: shine a spotlight beam tangentially across the back to emphasise the contours to help triangulate your approach. A little like a contoured field in the golden hour of evening sun ??low skill adjunct ??better than US😉

We’ve just ordered these little beauts from Pajunk as stock for paeds, hands and ortho. 25g 50m. Lovely to use for ankle blocks, brachial plexus, genics plus baby blocks. Fine tip allows greater precision around nerves. Also great with stimulator for teaching/defining nerves👍

1/The U.K. is soon to become 100% compliant with NRFit devices. Whilst there remains the possibility of drawing the wrong drug into the syringe, the yellow colour is a clear visual reminder of the possibility. Questioning trainees, they would feel very uncomfortable reverting to Luer. Next step?
