Love to see it!

Be brave. Courage doesn’t exist if there first wasn’t fear. Go forth.

Tyranny requires your fear, your silence, and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage.

Yeah, this is pretty obvious but worth stressing. Also, the idea that techbro coders with no experience in government are best able to identify and root out “fraud” is laughable

Mexico will take Google to court if maps shown to US-based users continue to label the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America across the entire body of water, President Claudia Sheinbaum said. She argued Trump's order to rename it only applies to the part of the continental shelf under US control.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

How much Elon Musk makes from the government a day: $8 million. How much a senior on Social Security gets a day: $65 Note: In 2024 alone, Musk’s enterprises were awarded approximately $3 billion across nearly 100 federal contracts, averaging about $8 million per day.

Folks: I am NOT affiliated with the group that is using my name to support an economic boycott. Please spread this post, if you would.

National Park Service websites are being changed to comply with DEI directives from the Trump administration. Here is an example from the website for Stonewall National Monument. It no longer refers to LGBTQ. 🗃️ www.nps.gov/ston/index.h...

If you are looking for someone to say that all is lost and the courts can't help protect democracy, you are following the wrong guy. If you are looking for someone who fights hard and will never give up, I'm here for you.

"We plan our year based on certain costs," Wright said. "Uncertainty makes it difficult. The last time tariffs were imposed, they lasted just 24 hours. Now, we don’t know what to expect." www.tmj4.com/news/milwauk...

Is there anyone out there that is mapping any delayed or cancelled federal payments ? Would be really interesting to see which towns and cities are going to be hit

#BlackHistoryMonth Day 10: Claudette Colvin, a teen arrested for not ceding her bus seat months before Rosa Parks. Why her case isn't famous is how we pick heroes today. We want perfect victims. Don't know what would've changed if her case was 1st but learn her story en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claudet...

AERA and COPAFS have issued a statement on the sudden termination of 169 contracts within IES, including those that NCES holds for the collection and reporting of education statistics. Read the full statement: www.aera.net/Newsroom/AER...

You are not powerless, and he is not unstoppable. Look at, and learn from, the funding freeze and how quickly he was forced to surrender.

When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.

The AHA & the @oah.org have released a joint statement on the presidential executive order “Ending Radical Indoctrination in K–12 Schooling.” “We reject the premise that it is ‘anti-American’ or ‘subversive’ to learn the full history of the United States.” 🗃️

AHA exec director @jgrossman.bsky.social, @oah.org president @dblight.bsky.social, & OAH exec director Beth English co-authored an article, "Trump May Wish to Abolish the Past. We Historians Will Not" for @newrepublic.com on the executive order, “Ending Radical Indoctrination in K–12 Schooling.” 🗃️

The AHA seeks to collect information about the working conditions of historians employed as contingent faculty. We hope the survey results will empower faculty to engage in evidence-based negotiations about their working conditions. 🗃️

I will not behave in advance. Heck, I might not behave after being asked to either. I have a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.

🚨BREAKING: Democracy Forward files lawsuit Wednesday — on behalf of a coalition of federal unions — against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to block access to Department of Labor data. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

2 insurrections, same President.

Our coalition has grown rapidly, now standing strong with over 92,000 federal employees. We are united by our oath and our commitment to hold the line. Every day, more of us are being targeted simply for speaking the truth to America.

We outnumber them. This democracy belongs to US. We must defend it.

1/Genuine question: When democracies were falling/fell, how soon did the people realize it? When we look back at history, we can see with much greater clarity where a fall began. We see the “signs on the wall” and often wonder why the people at the time didn’t.

Crockett: I am tired of the white tears. When you compare me to Marjorie Taylor Greene or me to Lauren Boebert, there is no comparison. So the only people that are crying are the mediocre white boys that have been beaten out by people that historically have had to work so, so much harder

Stop the coup!! Get Musk out of there!

Imagine, if you will, the power someone has to make such rapid and significant change and yet that person chooses not to use it for good? My goodness, can you imagine where we would be if he would be using it for good?

Mitch McConnell: Tariffs "will drive the cost of everything up. In other words, it will be paid for by American consumers. I mean, why would you want to get in a fight with your allies over this?"

Heck yes!
