At least maybe now we're going to stop pretending this is some kind of misunderstanding.

Prosecute every Brownshirt and Khakipants thug for their crimes. www.kivitv.com/news/six-men...

This is the first shot in the war to return to “pre-existing conditions”.

First, do harm. 2. ….. 3. PROFIT! The Ozocratic Oath

I don’t think anyone who didn’t come of political age during or just before the Reagan Administration really gets the true magnitude of the Republican about-face on *everything* they pretended to believe and bashed the Democrats about.

We are in the upside down.

Lot of tough questions being asked. Part One.

Jay Bhattacharya made up being “censored” to try to stop real scientists from stating the truth: that he was wrong. Now Trump is ACTUALLY censoring journals and scientists, and Bhattacharya is silent. This is disqualifying for running NIH: it’s a severe lack of integrity.

central planning by people who hate central planning and who also are dumber than dogshit. What could possibly go wrong?

It's one case, but further evidence that this government can be shamed by public reporting and public opinion kslnewsradio.com/shows-podcas...

How is anyone surprised in the least bit to see the ultra trash NYT carrying water for the right wing again?

Hear, hear!

Harvard with an evergreen quote for this first 100 days👇 —> “It remains unclear to us exactly what, among the government’s recent words and deeds, were mistakes or what the government actually meant to do and say.”

$15 million in taxpayer money to imprison people who have not been convicted of any crime does not sound very efficient to me.

Wow, this is the first time we've heard this number. Previous reporting suggested it was $6 million. So now it's $15 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars to imprison people in El Salvador without trial.

Wait….wasn’t part of their goal to encourage “self-deportation”? So if they flee the country isn’t this a win for them???

It is verging on assault to put someone on your “resistance” starter lists without their explicit permission beforehand.

The takeaway from this is *resist* because his authoritarianism may just keep coming but will be made much more difficult if he is politically weak.

Per source, NIH has been instructed to hold off from issuing ALL awards to Harvard, Cornell, Columbia, Brown, and Northwestern (including med schools) Agency staff have also been instructed to not speak about this funding freeze to grantees and applicants

I like Murkowksi as a person and agree that none of us should have to make decisions under fear of physical retribution from Trump & his goons. However, it bears noting that Dems say and do things all the time that Rs claim they can't for fear of violence. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

“You…understand that merit is the foundation for NSF’s success. That is why it was so shocking to see that NSF is undertaking a review of active grants in response to the flurry of executive orders…I request more information on the process NSF is undertaking to review current and future grants” 🧪

New(ish), from me: Andor returns on April 22. The first season detailed how bureaucracies in a totalitarian regime function, what is the toll of living under such regimes, and what causes people to rebel. Those themes feel more salient than ever. 🧵 donmoynihan.substack.com/p/the-return...

My quote of the day The price of inaction is far greater than the cost of making a mistake Eckhart von Hochheim (Meistere Eckhart) in ~1300

Chris Van Hollen flying down to El Salvador and refusing to leave until he got in a room with Kilmar Abrego Garcia blows up every other “well what do you expect them to do?” defense for elected Democrats

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

BREAKING: Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez has been released. This is the moment he reunited with his mom.

Florida: Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez (20) is being held in the Leon County Jail, charged with illegally entering Florida as an “unauthorized alien." Lopez-Gomez is a U.S. Citizen, born in the USA. He showed his U.S. birth certificate in court. The judge held him in jail anyway. This is Fascism.

Good Lord. Now this?

If I told you there were products named Dubnital, Trinotal and Magnotal, you would assume they were: 1. Pharmaceuticals 2. House Music tracks 3. Bike Tires 4. The latest Japanese collectibles 5. Other?

And it’s an obvious attempt to make Jews the scapegoat for this administration’s illegal and immoral actions. This so-called “fight against antisemitism,” is, in the words of the elders, Bad for the Jews.

News from the corruptostate.

Michael Roth, Wesleyan University's first Jewish president, says the Trump administration is using antisemitism as a "cloak" to get universities to be loyal to the president.

Good reporting here. Student paper gets what the bigs have missed. White House is actually threatening to defund all of bostons major hospitals www.thecrimson.com/article/2025...

“A 40 percent cut [in the NIH budget] would mean dramatic and immediate changes in the ability of scientists in the United States to conduct their work,” says Joshua Gordon, former director of the National Institute of Mental Health. By @avaskham.bsky.social www.thetransmitter.org/funding/prop...
