Magnificent Philippine water buffalo

There’s a cat outside my office window💕

NEW ARTICLE: We reviewed 50 research articles on the impacts of climate activism - check out the key takeaways:

Listening to the voice of David Abram, author of the Spell of the Sensuous soothes my cats.

I am delighted to share my newest publication in the International Journal of Practical Theology. I wrote about the state of the discipline, Practical Theology in the Philippines after the watershed 1986 People's Revolution. lnkd.in/g9y3mDvh

I do ESG and just returned from one of the happiest places on Earth for me and my students who have come with me over the years—-Lian Batangas, with the mangroves and Taal Lake at a distance.

I'll be in Saskatoon, Canada, for the International Academy of Practical Theology (IAPT) conference in June. I'm so excited just thinking and writing about it!😍

I am proud to contribute to this volume in Pastoral Psychology's Special Issue: Pastoral Theological and Psychological Reflections on Climate Change. Issue Editors: Ryan LaMothe, Pamela McCarroll, and Panu Pihkala. link.springer.com/journal/1108...

I am writing about how to love nature amidst grief, so this report makes me very happy. While love itself is challenging to define, many people do get it and understand its demand.

What I gather here is that human languages resemble nonhuman languages that have been around for far longer.

One of the biggest challenges I face as a writer is organizing my thoughts coherently. This is a debilitating condition, so I self-soothe by minimizing the need to self-correct or edit. I let my thoughts flow freely and commit them digitally before making edits. Happy weekend, friends!

There is no such thing as a vacant lot. The land is always teeming with life. Have a "wild" Sunday, my dear friends.

My participation will be a homecoming to the first school where I taught Philosophy after finishing my MA in Theological Studies in 2003. The conference highlights the decolonial mindset of the faculty and students, and I am happy to share my work with the new batch of seminary students at St. Paul.

Congratulations, Boniknik, on this award! She will visit me at DLSU next week for a project. I am so excited! www.globallandscapesforum.org/media_mentio...

What a beautiful cover! I am anxious about my upcoming contribution and hope to do justice to the journal.

One of the best things from my trip to the village Sunday market. A free book of poetry.

A thoughtful participant in one of the university's research workshops shared that prominent, ultra-productive local STEM researchers have not heard of a positionality statement (which was prominent in my workshop session)and insisted that science is neutral.

“It’s really too bad, you know, we’re shooting missiles and rockets and whatnot at each other on this tiny little place we call home. It’s the only home in the universe for us humans. It’s too bad we don’t treat it a little better.” — Bill Anders www.latimes.com/california/s...

I'm writing a paper for a theological journal on the connections among women, chronic pain, climate change, and environmental activism. Please send good vibes my way. Thank you so much!😍

I am proud to be cited in this study by UPLB researchers on the Pansipit River as one of the country's significant cultural and ecological water spaces. It underscores the contributions of humanities research to ecological preservation and protection.https://jhes.uplb.edu.ph/articles/24-ichspd08/

Happy holidays from my cats, Snow and Fuji💕

I used up countless hours looking for these vintage babies, collecting them, and caring for them. With an eye toward a sustainable lifestyle, I cherished every moment I spent with them. Here are some pieces from my vintage akoya pearl and silver collection.

Finally after months of waiting I got my organic fertilizer ready. My mini urban forest is feeling great today🍋

Write that thing. Pluck it outta your soul with rusty pliers. Hit the keyboard like it owes you money. Write whenever, wherever you can. Tell your story. Make the words dance. Whatever you want—a novel, a short story, an agent, a movie—it all starts with the writing.

One remarkable insight I've gathered from climate scientists on this site is the importance of communication. In the Philippines, my colleagues and I explore local concepts for communicating disaster, risk, and resilience using emotions and values.

The cat sat on my lap, and incredible things happened after. My vintage shoes broke down, and the DLSU maintenance crew helped restore them to life. The Registrar's Office granted my request, and my manuscript was accepted for publication🥰. Cats are superheroes!

My students in the Ethics class campaigned to preserve the Pasig River, an essential riverway in Manila. Sadly, due to rapid urbanization and wanton disregard for the importance of rivers in the Philippines, the Pasig River is in its death throes. #SaveourPhilippineRivers

I'm excited to now share this with the world: Our new US DOT Climate Strategies That Work Playbook is live! It includes 27 evidence-backed local and state strategies for reducing GHG emissions from transportation. climate-strategies-that-work-usdot.hub.arcgis.com

Sometimes we are caught in the space between. And that’s okay. globalecoguy.org/the-space-be...

Dalamhati emphasizes a mutual relationship with the natural world, rejects human dominance, recognizes negative emotions, and addresses feelings of despair and hopelessness that beset environmental activists dealing with ecological loss due to climate change. link.springer.com/article/10.1...

I am happy to be here🥰.
