#Spring in the sunshine, greeting anyone passing or visiting our house in #Sark with a little joy.

Shocking, appalling, childlike and unstatesman-like behaviour from Trump and Vance, can they go any lower? At stake are peoples' lives and the aggression of war, not the greed for a material gain at the expense of a country. The result, thankfully, is a massive outpouring of support for Ukraine.

I love it when the first colours start appearing in the garden #crocus #Sark #Channelisland

Happy New Year! This was the last light of 2024 from home on #Sark , #channelislands, beauty and light, promising the hope of sunrise in the morning. There is always beauty to be found beyond darkness, and love and hope can never be overcome.

"The bond of our common humanity is stronger than the divisiveness of our fears and prejudices. God gives us the capacity for choice. We can choose to alleviate suffering. We can choose to work together for peace. We can make these changes and we must." -- Jimmy Carter, 2002, Nobel speech R.I.P

A very special Christmas day in #Sark #Channelislands, our middle daughter surprised us and joined us, which in view of Alison's recent cancer diagnosis was particularly lovely.Happy Christmas to all blueskyers.

And....#clergymaltclub, so much better over this side, of course..back from a very foggy midnight Eucharist and feeling sorry for all the travellers not able to get back to, or from the islands to their families for Christmas #Sark #islandlife

Assad has gone, and there is hope for peace and justice in what seems to be happening, let's pray that this continues. Syria has been a place of sadness, death and destruction for too long.

“Taking Britain out of the Erasmus+ programme was a huge mistake. Labour must rejoin and accept the EU’s offer of a youth mobility scheme”👏 Our youth have been robbed of the freedom of movement we enjoyed - this is the absolute least the Gov’t can do for them sussexbylines.co.uk/news/educati...

What can be achieved (so far) with vision and determination, plus some solid community involvement and funding together with grants from Guernsey Social Investment Fund and Skipton Community Fund. This will be the new Art Gallery for #Sark, #Channelislands, see www.sarkart.co.uk

We're incredibly proud to have been able to work with @citizensadvice.bsky.social on their "Worried this winter? Let's chat" campaign video. @kevoutloud.bsky.social did an amazing job putting together a poem which explains exactly why the work CAB does is so important, especially this time of year!
