Well, this is horrifying.

Portlanders! Remember that terrifying article about how many schools in #Portland will literally crumble to the ground in even a moderate earthquake? Some of us parents are launching a campaign to demand the School Board promise to dedicate funds to address this. Join us!

"Is this 'China' in the room with us right now, Mr. President?"

I feel like folks are getting twisted up in knots about the Judge being arrested and it's pretty simple: 1) No one should be above the law (ahem, even the President). 2) The Trump Regime should not intimidate judges to pursue its fascism. 3) No one should feel scared to enter a courthouse.

Trump minimizing record-breaking CO2 levels is dangerous & counterproductive—but not surprising given his corrupt bargain with big polluters. Ignoring evidence of climate change & decapitating NOAA doesn’t make it go away—it COSTS MORE & makes us LESS SAFE. We will fight this.

Absolutely brutal and hilarious takedown of Bill Maher from the one and only Larry David.

The majority of people —56% in the US!—are worried about climate change, but not activated. Why not? Most feel helpless, hopeless, and don't know what to do. So more fear won't activate them. Rather, knowing what to do—and being invited to do it—will. Where to start? With a conversation today. 🧵

Deeply, deeply, just devastatingly disappointed to see that my alma mater, #DartmouthCollege, is missing from this list. Such a low bar to sign this, and President Beilock failed.

Turns out you can shape the agenda with dramatic action and maybe even shift public opinion. Crazy.

As @vanhollen.senate.gov said during his press conference yesterday, Bukele tried to have the meeting and photos staged to look like the Senator and Abrego García were enjoying margaritas by the pool. But the cocktail glasses' salted rims are undisturbed, proving no one drank from them.

When you realize you’ve just done some illegal shit to a college that 40% of the judges in the district graduated from. 40% of the Circuit court judges graduated from Harvard, too. Oh, and 4 of the 9 SCOTUS justices including Roberts went there.

The cost of doing nothing is that you lose everything. But the cost of standing up to a bully is often not as high as your fear tells you it is.

We must stop the Trump MAGA regime from turning our government into a political weapon against our people. The Trump MAGA regime cannot be allowed to silence the people who serve our communities.

I hope every Democratic Senator is watching @vanhollen.senate.gov's press conference right now and asking themselves, "What more can I do?" Senator Van Hollen, thank you for your efforts and your leadership.

If you're explaining, you're losing.

Yes, Trump does have political instincts. And you can often tell when Trump senses a topic is a political loser because he claims to know very little about it and starts passing the buck.

The only appropriate response to this is impeachment and removal from office. Every moment the political press spends spinning out theories about 2026 and immigration polling is a minute they are not spending asking Republicans in Congress about their plans to enforce the rule of law

I find myself getting sincerely emotional about this. That he’s, under the circumstances, okay. That his wife and kids know this after an agonizing month without him. That a Democratic politician cared enough to go and see him, even after getting told no at first. Trying matters. Fighting works.

It’s unironically Very Good that every pro-democracy political actor from Angela Davis to David Brooks agrees we need an unprecedented popular front that mobilizes civil resistance to stop the march of tyranny and restore popular rule to our government. Now, we just have to organize it.

the CFPB returned billions of money stolen from consumers due to predatory practices, including redlining. just an abomination on behalf of Trump's base. the long island car dealership failsons wanted this more than anyone.

This is it, folks. Far larger than Harvard itself, as large as Harvard is. Every nonprofit from the center leftward is on notice for potential destruction.

Where does the “Abolish ICE” movement go to get its apology? open.substack.com/pub/thebulwa...

AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.

How long, in minutes, would it have taken the GOP to introduce articles of impeachment against Clinton, Obama, or Biden if they had said they were going to ship American citizens to a prison in El Salvador? 15? Less?

The dream is dead

YOU MOTHERFUCKER I WAS LITERALLY 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM PUBLISHING AN ARTICLE NOW I HAVE TO RUN THE ANALYSIS ALL OVER AGAIN TOOK YOU TEN DAYS TO REMEMBER WHAT A SMARTPHONE WAS AND GIVE TIM APPLE HIS BRIBERY EXEMPTION, MEANWHILE YOU STILL HAVEN'T FUCKING EXEMPTED BANANAS

lord willing we will one day prosecute miller for crimes against humanity

I know I shouldn’t laugh about utter chaos destroying the economy but this alert definitely prompted a chuckle.

"The wholesale dismantling of IRA tax credits in Congress is looking less likely as four Republican senators go public opposing the idea" - letter: www.documentcloud.org/documents/25... via @axios.com

The White House is clearly scared of the power states have to build the clean energy economy and is resorting to blatantly unconstitutional tactics. The Trump administration is hoping that pro-climate state governments back down in fear. How should states respond? Simple. Ramp up instead. 🧵

yeah man, please make my 85 year old great aunt prove her citizenship to vote in rural georgia, this definitely isn’t reminiscent of anything in the american past

Hey @schumer.senate.gov they are now defying the Supreme Court's orders. By your own definition, it's go time. So, what you got?

LOCK THEIR ASSES UP.

Hope Chuck Schumer is stiffening his spine somehow because I have a pretty strong feeling this is headed in one particular (scary) direction.

Great thread here putting Trump's EO aimed at state climate policy into good context. I think I might sum it up as "come at me, bro" but Dave is a bit more thorough than that.

I'm calling for an investigation into whether President Trump manipulated the market to benefit his Wall Street donors—all while working people and small businesses paid the price. Did Trump help insiders cash in on his tariff flip-flopping? It sure looks like corruption.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is calling for an independent investigation into whether Trump engaged in market manipulation. www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

If you’re wondering where your 401k money went, it’s in Trump family pockets now. #TrumpTake401k

The President of the United States of America posted this 15 minutes before the announcement of the tariff pause. This would be a straightforwardly criminal message, were the rule of law currently operational in the usual way, for those with insider knowledge of major market shifting policy news

US citizen. Lawyer. Targeted and harassed at customs on his way home from Spring Break with his family. This is Trump's America. Who do you think is safe if they're targeting US citizen attorneys, folks?

After causing a downward spiral in Americans' retirement accounts and jolting global markets, Trump has finally moved to tackle the nation's biggest issues:
