I'm just a humble country lawyer trying to do the best I can against the big-time city folk so I can enjoy movies, horrors & my obsession with physical media.

This is a good release. The Innkeepers is one of the movies from Ti West that I like to revisit.

28 Years Later appears to be the latest movie where people online can't be normal over fair criticism. Acting like they never criticised anything & failing to understand that reviews are just opinions that have no effect on them.

This explains why Dr. Who hasn't been good for ages. Too busy supplying drugs.

I am Chewbacca. I am a wookie I fight the empire. I fix the robots. Don't fucking cross me I am Chewbacca In need of no one. In want of nothing. I am Chewbacca I have no home. My home is where My spirit goes. Don't fucking taunt me 'Cause I'm Chewbacca I'll rip your arms off.

28 Weeks Later (Special Guest Director: John Landis)

Lalo and Stitch.

Finally, some sleep.

I enjoyed Tornado, a story of one act of defiance leading to violence & vengeance across the harsh terrain of the wilderness. John Maclean latest is a culture clash of Westerns & Chanbara, two genres that had a heavy influence on each other & Kōki is a capable leading actress.

Picked up the new Blu-ray release of Black Bag from HMV. Steven Soderbergh's espionage thriller is easily my favourite movie so far this year.

It's good to see CCH Pounder is in the Naked Gun reboot.

It's Friday the 13th & it's my birthday. Hopefully, Jason Voorhees will kill me when I'm shouting, "Hey, Ted, where the hell is the corkscrew?"

I'm starting to think getting no sleep in two days is messing with me.

The one person who wants to continue the L.A. riot.

I've been up since 3AM. It's now gone 11 PM. I should sleep, but I won't because I want to spite Hypnos, the God of sleep.

Sean Byrne's "Dangerous Animals," a tense & mean-spirited horror that isn't scared to rip away the false sense of hope it gives. Jai Courtney goes all out to deliver a delightful unhinged performance with a deranged glee in his eyes as he toys with his victims. Great stuff.

"Clown in a Cornfield," a fast-paced, enjoyable teen slasher of small town traditions & generational divide. The misdirections, fun kills & sharpe dialogue saved it from being a bog standard horror film. Katie Douglas showed herself to be a likeable leading actress.

"From the World of John Wick: Ballerina," hopefully this isn't the direction going forward for the John Wick franchise. Messy narrative that failed to engage & while there were memorable action sequences, the rest lacked an edge like it was going through the motions.

Trump vs. Musk reminded me of the South Park episode "Cripple Fight."

Rewatched "Maniac Cop," a horror favourite of mine. It's B-movie perfection with Larry Cohen teaming up with William Lustig & starring Bruce Campbell & Robert Z'Dar in opposing roles. It takes advantage of Z'Dar's physique having him in the shadows, making him an imposing figure.

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, it's a silly title, but I hope they do more titles related to jobs from the series - From the World of John Wick: Sushi Chef or From the World of John Wick: Hotel Receptionist.

As seen at the beginning of 28 Days Later, activism doesn't work.

Lastly, the other new Blu-ray release from HMV & one of my favourites this year. The horror comedy, "The Monkey" by Osgood Perkins & it has one of my favourite performances from Tatiana Maslany.

Quick visit to HMV to grab a couple of new Blu-ray releases & both being this years favourites. The first one, "The Last Showgirl," by Gia Coppola & two wonderful performances from Pamela Anderson & Dave Bautista.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

As a horror fan & a fan of Final Destination: Bloodlines, this was worth reading.

Let's not get carried away with trying to cancel Moloch, the Canaanite god just because it's heavily implied he's associated with child sacrifice.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

I found one of my childhood photos.

This is what Twitter users see when they bizarrely think parents are forcing their children to see the new Lilo & Stitch.

"The Phoenician Scheme" is an entertaining ride that keeps Wes Anderson's signature style of charm & wit. It's a globe-trotting adventure of scheming, assassination attempts, corporate sabotage & surprisingly a spiritual journey. del Toro, Threapleton & Cera are perfect.

The problems that plagued the previous entry appeared to have tripled & carried over into "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning." If this is truly the end of the franchise, what a disappointing way to go out for Cruise & McQuarrie.

Nearly 3AM & I'm buzzing.

25th Anniversary of X-MEN was a reminder that it's still one of the better comic book adaptations & one that actually felt it had a single vision from all associated with it. Knowing they upped the quality in X2 is an achievement. Ian Mckellen & Patrick Stewart were on form.

I saw the movie on its original release & I'm about to see it again tonight. The 25th Anniversary showing of X-MEN.

"Hallow Road," a terrific tension-filled & panic inducing journey into the night. It pushes a parents love to the point of no return as they got to listen to their child's scared voice on the other end of the phone. Rosamund Pike & Matthew Rhys are both fantastic.

How to Train Your Dragon (2025)

The image of someone who stepped on LEGO.

I'm going to hire Henry Czerny to give me ominous speeches during daily routines around the house.

"Regarding 'Decepticon genocide' on Cybertron, some claim it's real, citing Energon cube farm attacks as evidence"

"Hurry Up Tomorrow," an obnoxious noise of a vanity project that came off as a glorified extended music video. The woe is me tortured soul of an artist is solely designed to be an ego trip for Abel Tesfaye. Barry Keoghan & Jenna Ortega are slumming it & I can't fault them.
