Why are conflicting tempos so pleasant? Slow jazz sax melody? I sleep. Add high tempo drum bass and high hats - I'm awake.

The shoehorning of "cooked" into every other post I see is maddening. Stop trying to connect with the youth! You're older and wiser!

The intro to Forza Horizon 5 is some of the most fun I've had playing a game in a while.

Finally was able to feed peanuts to a family of crows. At first it was one doing careful recon, then it went back and brought 3 to share in the feast.

This bacon pepper jelly dip is flame boyardee.

My patience for waiting is so bad instead of being 5th in line at a local coffee shop I went to dunkin donuts to be the 3rd car in the drive-thru

Fallujah's otherworldly guitar squeeling makes my brain go brr Pulled up at home and sat in my garage for 3 minutes to finish this banger. open.spotify.com/track/4OHAGy...

Haven't read books at all this year but thinking about diving into dystopian fiction after reading a story about The Handmaid's Tale. Thinking about picking that up along with 1984 and Chain-Gang All-Stars (recommended by @jacobgeller.com on MinnMax)

Holy brother in christ the thall at the is nasty! Describing music as orgasmic is gross but... open.spotify.com/track/43Bmam...

Fromjoy, Fallujah, and the NBA Finals. It's shaping up to be a damn good Friday.

NEW FROMJOY EP DROPPED THIS IS NOT A DRILL

If I was running for president my main platform would be building an orbital laser that beams anyone who doesn't return their shopping cart.

Pacers are the Dark Souls of basketball

I find myself thinking about how much I want to play Expedition 33 but since starting it I've done an entire randomized playthrough of Dark Souls. Something about a game that requires my full attention is hard task with how I mix games with other things like music and socializing.

I know some people hate playlists but I love listening to a massive Playlist that's basically every song and album I've enjoyed on Spotify. I'm getting so many classics pop up that I don't listen to often like Mastodon, The Human Abstract, Mouse on the Keys, and much more.

Playing Dark Souls and getting a Dark Souls jazz song to play from a shuffled playlist of 4,720 songs is fucking crazy.

A cutscene in Expedition 33 with two former friends talking about stars, wine, and their past is one of the best I've ever seen in a game, period. The music was a perfect accompaniment as always. A+ stuff.

So proud of the Pacers for making it to the finals despite most media, and apparently other players (hali voted overrated) not believing in the team. Let's fucking go! And now I have some free nights to play Expedition 33!

Trying out Nightreign and I'm both worried and excited. I've done the tutorial and it feels almost too smooth and fast, the animations have changed - it feels *different*

I'm mentoring another friend through Dark Souls and watching him navigate the Tomb of Giants is next-level hilarious. This popular gif happened verbatim.

Took a break from watching the Pacers get spanked to play Expedition 33 and got immediately punched in the gut from where I left off last. "Thanks for being my family." 😭😭😭

The first few songs in this week's Discover Playlist (excluding HSB) are chill post rock and damn how I've missed this music. Perfect work/study tunes when jazz and Lo-Fi aren't hitting.

Shoutout to the drunk Pacers fan next to a broadcast mic. Makes me feel like I'm at the game.

On last week's Giant Bombcast @danryckert.com talked about doing "crotch chops and suck-its" which was a painful reminder that I've had a permanent ink mark on my nose from doing that combo to my older brother then receiving a pen to the face. It happened when I was 8 and is still visible at 32.

Expedition 33 has been so great, I can't wait to go back and play 32 after I finish. I wonder if it's on Steam?

It's a beautiful day to stay inside and play video games

Consistently surprised at how smart and dumb our devices and apps are. Spotify knows when I'm driving but is often incapable of knowing what I was playing when switching from mobile to desktop. I'd like to continue what I was just on, not the shit from last night.

I've met a Gestral in Expedition 33 and it reminded me of Lost Odyssey. That's one of the greatest achievements I can give to a game.

TJ McConnell is my spirit animal

Really hoping I have enough energy after work today to do literally anything but eat dinner.

How did 8 hours become the standard work day? I couldn't even last 6 hours straight most days playing video games or any other hobby I have.

What an incredible game. Yes 'CERS!

Excited for tonight's after-work activities of playing a bit of Expedition 33, eating dinner while watching Blight Club, then ending the night watching the Pacers in the ECF.

Remember, you must die. So, remember to live.

Only 2 hours into Expedition 33 and by golly is parrying a new enemy on your first try and taking no damage the most satisfying damn thing. I think I'm gonna like this game.

I want one of those GBA SP Anbernic devices because I always wanted a SP as a kid. But I can't think of anything I'd want to play except Donkey Kong '94

I allow spiders to live in my sunroom and rabbits underneath my deck, yet neither are doing shit about the massive hoard of ants I just had to annihilate with chemicals. Wood ants too so it's serious. Yay home ownership!

I don't listen to Opeth but I'm very familiar with their sound and often say "this sounds like Opeth" when shuffling music. Today is the first time I said that and the band playing was actually Opeth.

It's gonna take me weeks to get used to the placement of the new "create" button. I hate it.

I'm not one to compare my situation to what others have going on but it's starting to feel weird how many people I meet through work that are 30 or younger with 2-4 kids

*Riff Raff voice* I'm bilingual like a triangle

It's rare moments like these that keep me sharing music to the void. If one person ends up liking my recommendation then I've done my job.

Snooze is cool stuff. A unique and instantly recognizable brand of math rock I don't hear often. It's chonky. Fat Rock. open.spotify.com/track/6TTuP1...
