I wrote a bit of fiction. Is it a true #WIP (?) I cannot say. Maybe the rest of Ivy's story needs to be told. Going start a series beginning next week about what people get up to in the middle of the night. Could be cool. Stick around and see. #Fiction #ShortStory #WorkInProgress #WordPress

I am finding many super lovely local art events - including a $5 symphony night & $15 community theater - with pizza & iced tea flights! Support Community Arts. <3

In a world seeking to ban books to scrub a history so terrible they don't want people to question it, education is an act of necessary rebellion. Where the schools have been told they must be quiet, parents can teach. Be rebellious. Read for critical knowledge. Pass this to your kids.

Maybe I wasn’t clear about this. I wanted more egg and no plane crash, not many plane crash and no egg.

What is the best audiobook you've listened to? #BookSky #Audiobook

I haven't the patience to deal with nonsense on this platform. I am not entertaining the faceless trolls. They deserve no energy.

We have turned into a yogurt parfait household over the past month. We eat it daily, either for breakfast or dessert. The secret is in the toppings: Jams, curds, nuts, granola, coconut, fruit… I made myself a banana + chocolate chip this morning. #BreakfastOTD

Some friends of mine fought & got a new playground added to our neighborhood park. A park board member admitted he didn’t even know where this park was or that residents were unhappy with it. We’re also getting a lighted walking path. (1/2)

See the responses to my comment - seriously, if you are over 35, do NOT assume you are still measles protected. You likely need a current MMR. This outbreak in TX is scary af.

Interestingly, the two books I read for Black History Month talked about institutional reparenting of Black children (The Black Angels by Maria Smilios and The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead). Our country has a long and dirty history of causing trauma to Black & indigenous children by doing this.

I threw on an extra book for my Oscar reads, because my son owns it. So why not? It was a magical little book. Mary Oliverish, cozycore sci-fi. A Psalm for the Wild-Built for the elementary set. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours. #BookSky #OscarReads www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I swear by the jammy egg-kimchi-clementine breakfast. It is *delightful*. #BreakfastOTD

Out of all the films I've watched this awards season, some of my most liked are the least nominated: A Real Pain, Maria, and Flow. God, these were so good. #Oscars2025 #Letterboxd letterboxd.com/chainsawchee...

I read an entire book, watched four films, took my kid swimming, made kimchi fried rice, and won an hour long couples massage this weekend. And I'm kicking myself I didn't go on a hike while the weather was nice.

For Valentine's Day, I have spent a stupid amount on Dubai style chocolate bars. Because I had never had one, and I was curious. Was it worth it in the end? Probably not, but at the very least, I am no longer wondering.

He picks out the best roses.

Thirteen years ago today I watched my father die on a vent at a far-too-young 60 years old. He never got to meet his grandson. Barely lived to see his own kids grow up. Please stop smoking. You are needed and loved.

Here's a poem I wrote about my Valentine. 💘 #Poetry #WritingCommunity #Love #ValentinesDay

Best breakfast: jammy egg, kimchi, a clementine, and black tea. 🍊

The standard characters in fallout shelter have excessively normal names, so every time a baby is born unto my wasteland vault, I’m obligated to name it something deranged like Butthead McChicken.

I’m a just a girl looking for some 10 pm cheese & crackers in a house with depressing amounts of ‘NO’ cheese & crackers.

Update: ALMOST THERE

RIP Tom Robbins. I read Jitterbug Perfume for the first time last year. There is such joy in that book. #Booksky

My friends when I got to their party: who are you rooting for? Me: Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick is such a hopeful story about quality actually mattering in an era where horseshit reigns.
