So, registered my own personal name as a domain name. It's not the domain I use for my website, I really just registered it to protect my name. But someone wants to buy it. Like, persistently. I think that person is a screenwriter. The thing is, it's his name, too. I'm totally out of my depth here.

My baby girl has graduated college! This, a week after her birthday, and a week before the holidays. So I drew her something she mused about a couple of years ago: a portrait of her and Joni Mitchell at roughly the same age. I usually hate colored pencil but it seemed like the right choice for this.

My wife and I just found a dog. Or, rather, he found us. Ran to stand in front of our car and when I stopped, he ran to the door. My wife opened the door and he hopped right up and into both our laps. He behaved like a castaway who's spotted rescue ship.

One thing I didn't expect to become kind of a specialty, is working from different photos to create a pose that never happened in real life - the grandkids have never all been together, Dad wasn't able to be at the wedding, that sort of thing. But that's the magic of portraiture. #artcommissions
