Finished reading “The Midnight Library” by @matthaig.bsky.social - Highly recommend to ANYONE. So many beautiful moments!

Trump and his American oligarchs are now openly aligning themselves with Putin and his Russian oligarchs. This Putin-Trump alliance means abandoning our allies, supporting authoritarianism and undermining our democratic traditions.

I was very fortunate to conduct the NCBA All Northern Honor Band this past weekend! Concert was great! A testament to music education here in Northern California! Thank you to NCBA and Jazareth Valencia Cathy Ettle and Jonathan Latta for running such a smooth operation and for putting up with me!

Didn’t watch the game for…many reasons…but the Kendrick Lamar halftime was *chef’s kiss*. And unfortunately, as expected, many people completely missed the point.

@kendricklamar.bsky.social PLEASE use that stage on Sunday to adjust the lyrics ever so slightly to “They Not Like Us” to address Dear Leader in attendance. 🙏

Really excited about the upcoming Wind Ensemble concert “Invisible Lines” 3/6/25 - “Dabke” by Kareem Roustom, “Requiem” by David Maslanka, “MARCH!” by @jennjolley.bsky.social and “Music for Prague 1968” by Karel Husa

Listening to #awrinkleintime by Madeleine L’Engle with my youngest on the drive to school. Loved reading it when I was a kid, burt in had forgotten almost all of it! Any suggestions for other books when we're done?

Wow. This is killer. youtu.be/doKGd9_Ux-g?...

Just for perspective to anyone out there: I set a timer for myself to respond to emails for one hour just now and I was able to successfully respond to exactly 10 during that time. For context, I get (on average) 30+ emails a day. I would need 3-4 hours a day just to keep up. #unsustainable

With all due respect to Sesame Street, which I grew up on, Yo Gabba Gabba was hands down the best show for kids my own children watched. The music was awesome in particular.

I've reignited my passion for books and stories through the magic of #audiobooks. The latest journey I embarked on was with #Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, a truly captivating experience that defies easy description.

I really want to stay connected with family and friends here. I've found that many other platforms have become quite overwhelming, and it's been challenging for my inner peace.
