My man.

A @dyllyp.bsky.social appreciation post as he has a new book coming out this summer which you can pre-order now. Let’s get him on the NYT bestseller list. thugtears.com

Guillotines. America needs more guillotines.

Today would’ve been my little brother’s birthday. I say “would’ve” because Rory was a victim of America’s gun violence epidemic. He wasn’t out committing crimes, he wasn’t trying to be a hero, it wasn’t even some unfortunate accident—he was killed by a stranger for no reason at all.

Erasure. At the National Institute of Health, posters of women and scientists of color have been taken down. Shared by @ivancalcantara.bsky.social

Whatever happened to windbreakers?

There’s a funny quote from the first Black 4-star General in the military who was also a Tuskegee airman about racism in the Corps

I’ve never experienced more racism than I did during my time in the Air Force, so this tracks.

My mom is getting all of her friends and co-workers to pre-order my book. Which I appreciate… Except now I’m really wishing I hadn’t included the line about jerking off with night vision goggles on.

This one?

This one?

I've pre-ordered this and everyone else should too!! The stories from his life that Dylan told on the bird app (back when it was good) were heartbreaking, hilarious, surreal, and gut-punching. He has a true gift for writing, and I can't wait to read this in the summer 🤩

Just from the parts of his life Dylan has told, this book will be very good.

This book is a love letter to my hometown, a memorial for my brother, a treatise for a better America, and a lot of things in between. The roads I've taken have had tragic endings, but some have led to auspicious new beginnings, and I wouldn’t be here with out you. www.amazon.com/Roadside-Jou...

Power’s out, so I’m over here working on this script by candle light like Edgar Allan Poe or some shit.

NOSFERATU: More like Yesferatu. I screamed, I cried, I threw up, I peed a little. 10/10.

You hear someone breaking into your house, so you investigate. You find a disheveled man in your pantry w cookie crumbs and dry milk in his unkempt beard mumbling about hoes. He’s wearing red velvet pajamas and combat boots. Usually you’d call 911, but it’s 12/24, so you smile and go back to bed.

One of the ancestry websites I use for research is advertising a new feature that brings photos to life with the use of AI. I hate it.

Ugh. It’s written and directed by Tyler Perry. Never mind.

The pre-order link is already available? That’s news to me lol

Coming soon.

Since healthcare seems to be a pretty big topic nowadays: Over the past decade, the VA hospital system has paid out over $200M for the deaths of over 1,000 veterans related to delayed care and malpractice. The report from the VA was titled “Friendly Fire: Death, Delay, and Dismay at the VA.”

THEY MADE A MOVIE ABOUT THE SIX TRIPLE EIGHT?? JUST TELL ME WHERE TO SIGN

Waffle House employees wouldn’t have snitched.

What’s sad is the decade-plus of recovery and rehabilitation he had to go through after we spent our early adulthoods fighting in America’s bullshit wars and watching our friends die. But thank you for your concern, internet stranger.

Yesterday I went and visited a friend who I haven’t seen in 15 years. He’s a steward of the national park in Hawaii and lives in the middle of the rain forest. I totally get it now.

Would any of my author friends like to read the galley for my forthcoming book to provide blurbs for the promotional material?

I love this website. Thank you for the perfection @abigaillarson.com + @dyllyp.bsky.social

This man’s last name is San Diego and was on the run from the FBI? Y’all really missed an opportunity to give the copy some flavor.

Every script I’ve ever written for television is on this list. So that sucks.

Unrelated, but kinda related: My first paid industry job was as a writing fellow at AMC Networks. Your scripts taught me how to write better scripts. So, thank you.
