Happy Birthday 'Alien Lanes'. This was my first Guided By Voices record and it's still my favourite. I met Robert and Tobin once and interviewed them before a show - maybe 1-2 years after Alien Lanes. They were both super nice even though my friend and I sucked at interviewing.

Gah! Can't wait... I love Pavement. The first time I listened to them was after reading a review of Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and I remember walking away a little disappointed. The review had compared them to Sonic Youth and they were definitely not that.
