Celebrating the incredible writer Dwayne McDuffie on his birthday! It was an honor to know Dwayne and get to talk superheroes and comics with him. He was one of the key creators behind Justice League Unlimited. Is it wrong to say I think the JL series was better than Batman?

MVS Calendar for 1/7/2025... Wish I had more to say about Conan, but to be honest, one of the few Marvels I never followed. Oddly, I preferred knock-offs like DC's Claw the Unconquered (illustrated by Ernie Chan who drew Conan later) and Atlas' Iron Jaw. I like my barbarians bionic, I guess.

Marvel Value Stamp Calendar for 1/6/2025... We can presume that the format is now stamp followed by the art it was derived from. Crazy creative period for Hulk as he bounced between different writers. Art by Herb Trimpe & John Severin.

Marvel Value Stamp Calendar for 1/4/2025... Stamp #2 is the Hulk. Definitely my favorite Marvel character, and there he is right behind superstar Spidey! This stamp appeared in the letters columns of four different comics.

MVS Calendar for 1/3/2025... At long last, stamp! Perfect sense for the Amazing Spider-Man to be Stamp #1. Though the Fantastic Four was the first Marvel series, no doubt Stan Lee felt paternal towards Spidey. Co-creator Steve Ditko excused himself quietly early on and Stan took the spotlight.
