I love finding older Christie books. This was at Capitol Books in DC. The shop seemed like it hadn’t changed in the 20+ years since I was last there. Did I buy Mysterious Mr. Quin purely for the cover? Of course.

Every time Booker yields for a question (while retaining the floor) I get real nervous that he won’t say it right. If I was (a) awake and (b) having to speak for as long as he has I would have screwed it up hours ago.

One under-discussed aspect of this video is hearing the crowd joyfully lose their minds all at once.

You're going to be tempted to engage in discourse focused on what Mahmoud Khalil said--was it actually antisemitic? Did he endorse Hamas?--and I cannot encourage you enough not to do that. Finding joy anywhere I can right now. Tonight it’s trying a new nail polish from Essie called ethereal escape. After 2 coats it’s a bit more sheer than I was expecting. But the bright side may be that it’ll be harder to notice when I inevitably chip it.

Nettle spent some quillity time with polar bear sisters Nora and Amelia Gray

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce. Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

🎶 Hello, darkness, my old friend We’re really doing this again 🎶

I was ahead of schedule all day, and by that I mean I had Friday brain on a Thursday.
