Andean spectacled bears are the only bear species known to build nests. I saw this behavior at Maquipucuna Reserve, near Mindo, Ecuador. It climbed to the top of the tallest tree, and began folding branches inwards to build a sturdy platform. #photography #wildlife #bears #Ecuador #SouthAmerica
