Pierre Poilievre in a nutshell. If ever there was a case to drain the swamp...

"The report found that 11 of Canada’s legacy news outlets, including the National Post and Toronto Sun, have endorsed the Conservatives in the last six elections. Just 1 endorsed the Liberals." Postmedia dominates Canadian media which is owned by far right billionaires. cultmtl.com/2024/10/cana...

Poilievre and the Conservatives made life more expensive for Canadians by helping to eliminate the Carbon Tax.

It’s exhausting to hear reporters lazily referencing the “unpopular carbon tax” while giving up on informing us that the reason it’s “unpopular” is the successful conservative misinformation campaign ignoring that it’s better than price neutral for people & is a bare minimum tool for climate action.

It's only been half a day since the Andrew Tate article, and he's all over my timeline. Stop giving this man oxygen Support survivors. Support victims of abuse. Thank women like Gisele Pelicot for their courage & bravery in speaking out. She inspired many more to share their stories Merci Gisele

Do not come in my mentions claiming that the public isn’t engaging in widespread pandemic denialism when you’re referring to Covid in the past tense.

It's World Press Freedom Day! Which is a joke in Canada, a country where more than 80% of our print media is owned by the same foreign conglomerate!

To be clear, Germany is cracking down on a Neo-Nazi party, and the US government is defending the Neo-Nazi party

Need to address some misinformation: The question of who lives in Stornoway is set out in law, it’s not left to Mark Carney’s arbitrary discretion The Official Residences Act depoliticizes these questions and prevents prime ministers from using arbitrary powers to be ”petty“ to the opposition

He also found the funniest way not to need a security clearance

It’s alarming that we’re relying on self monitoring & isolation for people with measles exposure. The trauma from early days of COVID has created a society of people who feel no duty to protect one another. They won’t stay home because “you do you” politics have told them they don’t “have to”

“The best answer anybody could give me was that, when I’d contracted Covid in the summer of 2022, it had lived in my new kidney. I was back at eight per cent functionality. None of it made sense.” Covid: how to lose a donated kidney in four years.

This country is full of Temu Trumps. Goddamn, I'm still so bitter my fellow Ontarians either voted for this bozo or stayed home and didn't vote at all.

You have to understand: most infectious disease specialists generally play down the urgency of their language, unless they are staring into the really, really bad stuff.

Hey @rachelgilmore.bsky.social , can we get a podcast invite out to Bruce Fanjoy sometime in the future? Would love to hear about the work he did (and how he did it) to pull off that win. AND, if he has a fitness tracker/smart watch, how many steps he took to do it. 😆

GOOD MORNING TO THE VOTERS OF CARLETON SPECIFICALLY

It's PollieOVER, folks. Fanjoy scored the McDavid OT goal of politics with this one. The doorknocking effort he put in to knock that prick Pollievre out of his seat was incredible. What a legend.

broke: going to sleep before election results are in woke: staying up late to see which party will form government bespoke: living overseas and waking up just in time to see if Pierre Poilievre will lose his seat

I've been watching CBC, and while they noted that Elections Canada's site is down, I haven't heard them broadcast this contact number. 1-800-463-6868 @ianhanomansing.bsky.social @davidwcochrane.bsky.social #cdnpoli #elxn45 #CanadaVotes
